Zach took me to his house so he could shower before the party. I mostly hung out with his younger brother Jack while I waited. The kid is 14 and really sarcastic but not too bad to hang around. Plus it was around 10 and no one else in his house was home.
I changed into a new outfit that I packed ahead of time and stored in Zach's room. I put on some dark wash jeans and a white long sleeve Vans shirt that had a black and white checkerboard going down the sides. I cut off the bottom of the shirt so the shirt ends just above my belly button. For shoes I wore my white vans.
Once Zach was ready, we got in his car to head over to the party. Zach wore a black t-shirt with some jeans, usual guy outfit. The drive was only about 10 minutes and Zach and I spent the time in the car listening to music.
When we finally arrive, I take out my phone to text Madison that we're here. She quickly texts back saying that she is here too and is waiting for me inside.
Zach opens my door for me and I quickly thank him and walk towards the front door with him trailing not far behind. I let myself in and automatically smell alcohol. Once I walk through the door I look around to find Madison.
"HEY BESTFRAND!!!" Madison screams into my ear from behind. I turn around to see her looking at me excitedly.
"Sup. Have you started drinking?" I ask already knowing the answer.
"Yeah, but only a little. I'm a little tipsy but I'm good."
I nod and look around the room to see who I know. A bunch of people from my school are here. I hear the start of Dance (A$$) by Big Sean. I immediately drag Madison to the dance floor to start dancing.
We dance like crazy even though if my mother was watching she wouldn't let me out of the house for the rest of my life. But hey, at least I was having a good time. We kept dancing for a while until I got super tired.
I walk towards the kitchen and see Janet there talking to her boyfriend, Kyle. He doesn't go to our school so she doesn't see him as often. I grab a Coke Zero and sit down on one of the kitchen chairs.
All of the football guys charge in at once into the kitchen grabbing beers. Zach, Alex and Ryder all head towards us. We talk for a little about the party and who is here.
"Nice dance moves you got there, we saw you on the floor." Ryder says to me.
"You guys saw that?" I asked getting embarrassed. I hadn't thought anyone was watching or else I wouldn't have done it.
"Who wasn't? All the guys were watching you and Madison and asking and if they could get your numbers." Alex said laughing.
"Well too bad for them, but I roll alone." I say.
The guys start to have their own conversation next to me and I just sip my drink. I feel a hand on my back and turn around to see who it is. Once I recognize them, I jump up to hug him.
"Chancler what are you doing here?" I say excitedly backing up to see his face.
"Partying, per usual. What are you doing here?"
"Partying, per usual." I say copying him and laughing. We both know I barely party unless it's a special occasion now a days.
The boys realize who I was talking to and did a bro hug. The only one who didn't know him was Ryder.
"Ryder, this is Aaron, a total pain in my ass. He goes to Westview." I say and Aaron slightly pushes me at my remark. Ryder introduces himself and they do the common dude handshake.
"Hartman, why aren't you drinking? Have you gotten soft on me now?" Aaron asks jokingly.
"Not a chance. You know once I start drinking I can't stop. Besides, me drunk is never my finest moment." I say laughing.
