I wake up on Monday extremely exhausted per usual. Probably shouldn't have stood up till 2 a.m. watching random YouTube videos online but oh well.
I slowly roll out of bed losing the loss of warmth once I get out. I go to my bathroom to brush my teeth and hair. While trying to wake myself up.
I then go to my closet to pick out my outfit for the day. I decide on black ripped jeans with my white and yellow stripped t-shirt. I put on black converse to finish off my look.
I quickly put on makeup trying to put at least amount as possible. I head downstairs to make breakfast and realize I still have to pick up Nathan for school.
I look around the house and don't see my mom, she mist have left for work already. I make myself a vanilla smoothie meal replacement to save time and quickly head out the door grabbing my keys.
I begin to drive to school listening to some pretty mellow music. I don't know what Nathan likes and I'm not going to play something he doesn't.
I arrive at Nathan's house after a few minutes. I decide to text him that I'm here. I was going to honk extremely obnoxiously but opted not to because his dad might be asleep.
Finally I see Nathan walk out with his bag hung loosely on his shoulders with Monster in his hand.
"Hey, thanks for the ride." Nathan says once he opens the door and hops in.
I pull out of the driveway on my way to the school which is a couple minutes away from where we are now.
"Is you dad home?" I ask.
"No he works really early mornings so he's home at night all the time." I nod my head in understanding. I keep this in the back of my mind so I know I can be obnoxious next time I pick him up.
"What's up with the grandma music?" Nathan asks with a laugh.
"I didn't know what music you liked so I just picked whatever. You can connect to the bluetooth and change it." I say.
Nathan changes the music to more upbeat music that has a big beat. Once the chorus starts playing he raises the volume extremely loud. He then decides to roll down his window on his own accord singing along to the music
"Do you realize how obnoxiously loud this is?" I ask laughing.
"Don't be a Debby Downer Hartman!" Nathan says in response.
I turn into the school parking lot getting from people wondering where the music was coming from. I cringe at the attention and immediately reach to turn down the volume but Nathan intercepts my hand.
"Nathan this is, like, literally my car." I say.
"And I'm like literally your guest." Nathan says in a sassy tone.
With Nathan I feel like we've known each other for years. Like friends since birth. Everything just comes easy with him. Even though I kind of want to kill him right now for the high volume he's playing in my car right now getting stares from people in the parking lot.
Finally I find a available parking space and quickly turn off the car with the music as well. I breath out a breath of relief once it's off.
"You worry too much." Nathan says from beside me.
"And you should have some decency when it comes to the volume of your music." I say.
Nathan heads out of the car quickly grabbing his stuff from the back. I stay inside quickly checking my phone and answering a text that Atlas sent me. I see Nathan open my door and immediately put my phone away.
