A Death Threat

Nathan POV

After she got her job back, I took her out to my car. We drove in silence.

Yah totally awkward.

I drove us to Kaine's Diner. We sat at an old fashioned booth and drank cokes.

Hayley laughed and talked excitedly about her job.

I laughed and played along. But one thing was bugging me.

I had heard my phone ding in my pocket while Hayley talked with my mom.

I slipped off to my room quickly and checked my phone.

Unknown Number:  If you don't get away from Hayley before tomorrow you are gonna find yourself dead

I was scared. My heart beat faster. I was sweating.

Hayley bounced into my room at that moment. "Hey Nathan Whatcha doing?"

"N-nothing!" I said quickly, shoving my phone away.

Hayley looked at me sideways. "Are you okay?" She asked.

"I'm fine!" I said and Hayley pursed her lips.

I had to tell her before tomorrow. I didn't know how.

I tried to figure out who the text was from. I made a suspects list.

1. Angela Bordell. She has a crush on me and she's one of those people who won't stop at anything to get them to be hers
2. My little sister Ella. I know that seems weird she's on the list but there's a reason. She hates me dating her babysitter
3. My best friend Blake Milliki. He's likely to play a silly joke on me any day

But none of these people would send a message saying something like that.

All of a sudden there was a voice in my head.

It was me. You need to get away from her before I kill you
