Shane's POV
"So do you have a pencil I can borrow?" He asked again, snapping me out of my raging thoughts.
"Oh um yeah." I said nervously. I slapped myself.
Now he's going to know I'm not all what I seem to be in the messages. I thought as I searcged my bag for a mechanical pencil. I kinda threw all my stuff in my bag so its a little unorganized. That's a great way to start off the new year. Not.
I finally find a blue pencil. "Here."
I handed him the pencil but our hands brushed against each other and I felt my heart jump out my chest. I just shift in my seat.
"So what are we suppose to be doing?" He asked.
Please stop talking to me or I'm literally going to die. I thought.
"Oh we are suppose to be doing this getting to know your assignment. I guess Mr Ramos forgot to give you one." I informed him. He got up and went to the teacher. I pull my phone out of my pocket.
Hey ari don't cause a scene but sitting in betewn us is Ryan. The guy from oline.
-8:30 AMRyan was taking his seat when ari pulled out her phone. She read the message.
"Oh my god." She said loudly. I just slap myself.
This was a mistake abort abort. I yelled at myself mentally.
The entire class looked at her like she was crazy.
"Oh um sorry guys." She said like she was actually sorry when we both know she don't care about anybody in that class. I see her start to type on her phone.
He is cute. I actually feel like I saw him some where. And also typo
-Ari 8:38 AMWell he does like football. Maybe on the football team? PS no one cares about the typos.
-8:39 AMYou're actually right. Can't believe you're into him. Actually I can believe that. I care about them tho.
-Ari 8:42 AMJust as I was about to respond to her I hear the teacher call out our names.
"Shane and Arianna put your phones away."
I roll my eyes. Ugh he's one of those.
Finally the bell rang for us to go to our next period.
Its now lunch time and Ari, Larke, and I are sitting outside at our little round table.
"So Shane when were you going to tell me?" She asked while eating a slice of pineapple from her homemade fruit salad.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I said while putting a chicken nugget from the cafeteria.
"You know. About you know who." Ari said. Larke doesn't know that I'm gay so she's trying to be sneaky.
"Shane has a crush on someone?" Larke said.
"What? No babe. Haha." She nervously said.
"Mhm." He said while eating some of his curly fries.
"I was going to tell you but I just forgot. Its not really important." She just pouted.
"Obviously your love life is important no matter how complicated it is." Ari said while eating her granola bar.
