It was a normal day for Stray Kids - they were in the dance practice room, practicing the dance for their title song for their new album. The boys were dancing, while Chan was monitoring them and helping them fix whatever they got wrong.
"...And 3 and 4, 5 and 6, and 7 and 8." Chan counted so it was easier for the members to do the moves on beat.
"Woojin, you have to do this faster. You're slowing down at the turning part and you're off beat for the rest of the combination." Chan explained. He was always strict during practice, even more than before, because he still felt responsible for the time when Minho and Felix were removed from the team. Therefore, he wanted to help the boys as much as he could.
"Again. And then we'll do it with music." Chan instructed.
The leader counted again. He monitored each of the members strictly.
"Woojin, you have to make bigger moves and you need to make them more precise. I know that this combination is hard and requires more coordination, but you can't slack just because it's hard." Chan scolded the oldest again.
"It's okay hyung, you'll get it right." I.N tried to encourage Woojin.
The rest of the practice continued with Chan scolding mostly Woojin. The oldest member was trying his best, but it was too fast paced for him and he knew he needed more practice. He knew Minho would be helping Felix with his Korean and Hyunjin would be taking some tips on rapping from Changbin. Therefore he had no one to ask for help after practice.
Woojin decided to stay behind alone and practice some more. Dance practice was over and the members headed to do their own thing.
"Don't worry, you did well." Felix patted Woojin's back in order to encourage him. But Woojin knew he was lagging behind compared to the others and he knew that he needed to practice more. However, he just nodded at Felix, appreciating the fact that the younger tried to cheer him up.
Everyone left and only Woojin and Chan remained in the room.
"I'm sorry, I guess I was a bit too hard on you..." Chan apologized, because he didn't want Woojin to feel bad or burdened.
"It's okay, I know that I'm lagging behind and I need to practice more, because I don't want to fail the whole team." Woojin replied as he stood in a position in front of the mirror, attempting to make the move correctly in a slow pace.
"You won't fail the team, Woojin. You're a precious member, you're irreplaceable and we can't do it without you. I'll stay behind to help you." Chan offered as he smiled.
The leader took a seat on the ground in front of the mirrors, looking at Woojin intently.
"No, you put your right foot in front and then you spin around. Also, bend your torso a little, you'll see that you'll be more stable this way." Chan said, as he stood up and showed the move slowly, step by step. Woojin repeated it, trying to memorize the leader's explanations.
"Yes, that's how you do it. That was perfect. Okay, let's try the same combination, but a little faster this time." Chan explained as he began to count while doing the combination again alongside Woojin.
When they did it with music several times, Chan smiled at Woojin.
"You're doing great. It was perfect. Now let's do the next combination." Chan said. Woojin was getting more confident with the praises and he tried really hard.
"I'm not sure how to do the move after the combination with the hands. How do you do it?" Woojin asked, frustrated, because he couldn't get how to do this certain move. He didn't know what he was doing wrong. It just didn't look well.
"Ah, so you put your leg here and your hand there..." Chan explained, but Woojin still couldn't get it.
"I'm sorry, could you repeat that one more time? I can't seem to find where I'm making a mistake..." Woojin huffed.
"Oh! Sure. Wait, let me show you." Chan exclaimed as he walked behind the older.
"Put this hand here. Then, move it like this... And bend your knees a little more... Lean forward a little so you shift your body's weight..." Chan explained as he placed Woojin's hand in place and helped him adjust.
At some point, Woojin could feel Chan's breath on his neck and his body close behind him. He had tried so hard not to get attracted to the leader, because that could damage the group and their friendship, but right now his body was reacting to Chan. Each touch burned like hell and Woojin could still feel Chan's hands on him even if he had moved them long ago to fix something else.
"...and now, turn around, but make sure your knees are bent so you can do it faster." Chan instructed.
"Like this?" Woojin asked, as he turned around, but he did it too quick and Chan didn't have the opportunity to move back. This led to their faces being merely inches apart and they stared at each other's eyes. Woojin could've sworn he saw Chan's gaze move from his eyes to his lips and then back to his eyes, but he dismissed it, thinking that he was only imagining things.
But Chan wasn't pulling away. His hands were placed on Woojin's waist. When the oldest was about to breathe a sigh of relief, because Chan removed his hands, his breath hitched, because the leader had wrapped his arms around his neck instead. Chan's eyes seemed filled with desire and Woojin was too mesmerized by them to look away.
"If you won't kiss me, I'll do it." Chan stated as he immediately glued his lips to Woojin's.
For half a second, Woojin seemed shocked, but then he kissed back. Their kiss quickly turned into a makeout session. Chan's back was pressed to the mirrors as Woojin was kissing him hungrily.
The oldest moved to kiss Chan's neck and the leader tilted his head back, allowing more access to his sensitive spot.
"We should have more dance lessons like this one." Chan breathed out, clinging onto Woojin.
"Sure, because I'll need more of your help." Woojin detached his lips from Chan's neck to look at his eyes, then he offered him a smile, after which he sealed the leader's lips in an innocent kiss.
