"That's the ninth time you've dreamt about him. Is he really that handsome?" Hyunjin asked.
"Yeah." Felix's cheeks reddened. "He's like, usually wearing black or other dark colors and there's something... I don't know... Dangerous about him? But he's also kinda short and his face! Oh, his face is so handsome. That sharp jawline and those deep eyes..."
"Felix, you're drooling." His friend made a disgusted face as he proceeded to sip on his milkshake.
Felix and Hyunjin were walking home after school together. It was already dark outside. The reason they left so late was that they both took dance classes and those started late in the evening.
"Did you try talking to him?" Hyunjin asked after a while.
"Of course not. What am I even gonna say to a boy as handsome as him? I'll just embarrass myself." Felix hung his head in defeat.
"But he's just a dream, right? I mean, he's not real. You can't embarrass yourself in front of someone who doesn't exist." Hyunjin suggested.
"It feels so real though. Like, it feels like... it's not even a dream." Felix mumbled.
"Don't be ridiculous. Of course it's only a dream. Now be a man and talk to the guy of your dreams." Hyunjin patted his back. "Well, it seems like it's time to say goodbye. Good night, Felix. Good luck with Mr. Handsome." The boy winked at his friend before he walked away, leaving Felix alone.
Felix got home feeling tired. That dance lesson was kind of intensive and it drained his energy completely. He needed sleep and knowing that he'd probably see a certain someone in his dreams, made the idea of going to bed early pretty tempting.
As soon as Felix closed his eyes, he drifted off to dreamland. He found himself in his room, awake, but he knew that he was only dreaming. When Felix turned his head around, he saw a figure sitting on his desk. The person wore all black and there was a hood that hid his face.
"Wh-who's there?" Felix asked with a shaky voice. He made sure to pull the covers of his bed closer to him as if they would protect him if the figure decided to do something to him.
"Hello, Felix." The figure spoke with a deep raspy voice, but it wasn't as deep as Felix's. The figure took off its hood, revealing a young handsome man. The same one that Felix recently dreamed of.
"Um, h-hi." Felix cursed himself mentally for stuttering like that. But then he remembered what Hyunjin said about him not being real.
"I am very real though." The boy clad in black spoke as he sighed. "The name's Changbin."
"H-how did you..." Felix's eyes widened. "Did you read my thoughts?"
Changbin laughed. "You're pretty interesting, kid. But I'm afraid I don't have powers like that. Sorry to disappoint."
"Oh, that's good. But what did you mean when you said you're real?" Felix tilted his head cutely when he asked.
Changbin didn't answer his question as he kept staring at Felix. "Time's running out. See you." With that, Changbin disappeared.
Felix woke up as he frantically looked around for Changbin, but the boy was nowhere to be seen. Of course he wouldn't be seen. He was in Felix's dream, not in his room.
When Felix arrived at school, Hyunjin approached him.
"Well? How'd it go?" The taller boy smiled.
"We talked. His name is Changbin." Felix answered as he remembered his conversation with said boy. It was pretty weird.
"Changbin? That's the name of the new student who transferred today." Hyunjin said. "Maybe you can see the future with your dreams."
