Not really my idea for the plot. It's from a series. If it sounds familiar, that's why.

It had been a year since Seungmin broke up with Hyunjin. Seungmin moved on with his life, but not Hyunjin. The younger was always on his mind and he found himself often being distracted by memories of the past even during missions. He thought of the time when he'd met Seungmin.

It happened years ago, when both of them were in their early twenties. Hyunjin met Seungmin in a pretty shady bar in LA. Hyunjin was an undercover government agent on a secret mission. Seungmin, that dangerous and reckless man had caught his attention. Hyunjin visited the bar to watch him every night. It was a bit stalkerish, but there was nothing wrong with admiring beauty. Sometimes Seungmin was there with his muscular boyfriend, sharing kisses in some dark corner and sometimes he was playing russian roulette with dangerous men for fun. Seungmin was crazy, but the good kind of crazy that captivated Hyunjin and he couldn't deny that it was love at first sight. People warned him not to get involved with a guy like Seungmin, but Hyunjin wouldn't listen. He was whipped for the gorgeous man.

"Hyunjin, I need you here. Your friends are tracking down the target. As soon as they find him, you'll kill him. But Hyunjin. You do this without blowing your cover. They mustn't know you're here." The nasty government man said. He was Hyunjin's boss. All he cared for was completing the mission. He was willing to do anything for success because the completion of the mission meant promotion and more money while Hyunjin was just a tool that made things easier to achieve. Hyunjin didn't want to work for this man. Hell, he never wanted this. He'd promised Seungmin when they were still together that he'd quit the agency and they'd run away together to some warm and sunny country and they would start a new life there, alone, away from the spy life. But Hyunjin had broken that promise. He didn't quit. He had no choice. It was either complete the mission or Seungmin would be locked up in some dark prison cell in some godforsaken place until the rest of his life. For Seungmin's sake, he'd agreed to go on this cover mission. But Seungmin didn't know that and he'd had enough. He was disappointed with Hyunjin because he thought that he loved his job more than their relationship. It was always empty promises that Hyunjin never kept. So Seungmin left. He moved on with his life.

Hyunjin put the headphones on and looked at the monitor displaying several camera views. He hated to do this, but orders were orders. He couldn't show himself even to his friends, his family. He'd worked alongside Woojin, Changbin and Seungmin for years as an errand boy, helping people with problems that couldn't be resolved legally. They were a team, a family and he wasn't allowed to contact them. He didn't want to spy on them, but the mission required it. Hyunjin spent days by the monitor, spying and listening on to his friends without their knowledge. He switched to the camera that showed Seungmin - he was with another guy and they kissed. They shared one of those kisses that Hyunjin used to share with him just a year ago. He couldn't blame Seungmin for moving on with his life - he'd hurt him enough, but the scene before him shattered his heart. Hyunjin couldn't help the fact that his mind wandered off into the past again.
