"Rae! Wake up!" Claire yells, jumping on my bed. I groan, covering my head.
"Go away. I don't have any school!" I moan, but she just yanks the covers off my head.
"You have work." She says, and I immediately fly up. I run around, as Claire smirks and leaves my room.
Ruby had gone to Florida with her kids for a while, so she shut the shop. She continued to pay us, but I was actually glad to go back to work. I missed Allie.
I quickly put on an oversized art hoodie and some black leggings with my uggs. I pulled my hair into a messy bun, putting on very minimal makeup before grabbing my things and leaving. I arrived, and there in the front, sat Marcus with Elliot. He had told me he was going to hang out with his brother before they went back to Colorado.
I walk in, putting on my apron and sat next to Marcus.
"Hey. Why didn't you tell me y'all were meeting here?" I smiled at him. He grinned, putting his arm around me.
"I forgot you worked here." Was all he said, before Ruby came out, demanding a hug. I hugged her, as Allie walked in.
"Ready to get this shift done?" She sighed, sitting on the back counter. I nodded, sitting beside her, swirling my cup of coffee. The bell rang, and we both sighed, as we stood.
"Welcome to Ruby's, how can I hel-" I started but froze when I saw the girl standing in front of me.
Haley.
"How can we help you?" Allie said, noticing I wouldn't finish.
"I'll have a vanilla latte." She smirked, handing me a 10. I gave her $5.65 in change.
"Who knew you worked here." She evils smiled, before Allie handed her her drink.
"Have a good day!" Allie waved as Haley walked away. She spotted Marcus on the way out, winking and blowing a kiss. I wanted to smack her.
"You good?" Allie asked. I felt the anger slowly dying down the further she got.
"Can you cover me?" I asked, looking at the clock. We only had 30 minuets left.
"Yeah. It's dead here anyway. But why?" She asked as I took off my apron, anger still brewing.
"That girl just gets on my nerves. You don't want to be around me when that happens." I saw through gritted teeth.
"You going to Marcus's party?" I ask, taking my bag, and about to leave.
"No. My dumb brother won't let me around drunk teenagers on New Year's Eve." She rolled her eyes as I laughed.
"Probably for the best. Well, see you tomorrow." I wave to her. Marcus looks up, and comes with me. Elliot had left an hour ago.
"See you at eight?" Marcus asks. I grin, nodding.
"Of course. I have the fireworks." I grin, pulling him into a quick hug before driving away.

"Gorgeous!" Naomi squealed as I slipped on my shoes. I looked in the mirror, smiling.
