Note:
This is going to be a short chapter because this is the second time I am writing this. I really want to give y'all my best work, but unfortunately, I can't do that when I can't remember what I wrote. I tried to recreate this chapter as best I could, and I hope y'all understand. Thank you.
——————————————————————Naomi and I were walking around the store, shuffling through racks of what I could see to dinner tonight.
"So. What's going on with Marcus?" She asked me, smirking. I felt my cheeks heat up as I pulled out a dress.
"Oh nothing. Just that I like him." I mumbled as she squealed. I jumped back in shock before trying to compose her.
"I knew it I knew it I knew it!!" She grinned at me, handing me a dress. "You really need to impress him tonight." She grinned, pulling out a cute dress.
"Let's try them on." I said, heading to the dressing room. I slipped on my favorite, the last on Naomi chose.
It was a baby pink lace with a sweet heart neckline and spaghetti straps. It went down to my mid thighs.
"This is perfect." I grinned, showing it to Naomi. She smiled, nodding. I took it off and got changed before paying for it.
We went back to Naomi's apartment where Luke was running around with a light saber and Wyatt was running ahead of him with an identical saber.
"I'm home boys!" She said, as they both looked up.
"Nayyy!!" Myatt screeched running into Naomi's arms. She scooped him up, kissing him.
"Hey bud. Y'all playing Star Wars?" She grins, as she sets Wyatt down and Luke kisses her.
"Yeah, and I was winning." He says a confident grin on his face. Luke chuckles, scooping him up as he lays in the floor and throws him int he air.
"No! I'm pretty sure I was winning!" He joked, as Wyatt laughed loudly. Naomi watched them with love as the two boys goofed around.
"Um, I should go." I say, tapping Naomi on the shoulder, she nods as I leave.
I walk out to my car, checking my phone to see 3 missed calls from my mom, 4 from Claire, and 7 from Marcus. I feel my mind racing as I drive home, pulling into the driveway. I climb out and run into my house to see Claire, Gavin, my mom, and Marcus all there. My mom and Claire had tears staining their cheeks and I could tell Marcus was trying not to cry.
"What happened?" I asked as I walked over. My mom stood up, hugging me tightly. I looked over at Marcus as he wiped a single tear that fell.
"We got a call from your dads commander. They couldn't find him. He didn't return from the field and the last thing they remember of him is when he left to get help for an injured soldier." She told me, breaking down int he middle.
"They're looking for him. Right?" I ask my voice cracking. She nods, as Marcus wraps me in a hug. I begin to cry, as he stroked my hair.
"They'll find him. Promise." He whispered, kissing my nose. I nodded as he wiped away my tears. "Let's just get through dinner then you can cry all you want tonight." He told me. I nodded, heading to my room to put on my outfit.

•When we walked into the restaurant, Mrs. Clark's kids came running up to Marcus and I. We each gave them a hug, before sitting.
The entire dinner was spent talking about school and thanksgiving and winter break which was quickly approaching. Afterwards, Marcus and I headed back to his house as his parents went to my house for an adults night.
I changed from my dress to an oversized art sweatshirt and pulled my hair into a messy bun and removed my makeup. When I walked out, Marcus had set up a bunch of pillows and blankets with popcorn and The Greatest Showman. I grinned, jumping in as he pulled a blanket over us. I snuggled into him, eating a popcorn.
"I've missed our nights." He whispered in my ear. I nodded, looking up at him. He was watching the movie and his blonde hair was still done from the dinner, but it was obvious he had run his fingers through it a few times. He must have felt me staring, because he looked down at me. I felt my cheeks flush, as I looked at the screen. He chuckled, placing a kiss to my head.
"Me too." I mumbled, resting my head against his chest.
I've missed my Marcus.

Soooo.... here is another chapter!!!
This will be the only chapter for a while, and I know it is VERY short. This is because I wanted to give y'all a chapter before I go to Disney. I won't be able to post while I'm there, and I'll be there for about 9 days. As soon as I get home, I'll be posting again. I have had some writers block, but I'm finally getting to the good stuff in this book. I'm so excited for y'all to see what I'm planning. So, here is the chapter y'all have been waiting oh so patiently for.
Thank you so much for being patient.
