"Wake up!" Lorelei shouted. I moaned as I rolled to my side. I hit the floor with a loud umph as I moaned in pain.

"What a way to wake up." I whined as my eyes adjusted. There she was. In all her red head and green eyes glory. My room mate. I've learned that she always wakes up early and has a set schedule for EVERYTHING. Especially today.

First day of classes.

"Your first class is in three hours exactly. Get dressed, eat, then get to class and talk to the professor. After that you have business at noon and astronomy at three. Get moving!" She exclaimed leaving my room, her heels clicking.

The girl is a bit extra, but honestly I would have died already without her.

I get my lazy butt up and throw on a pair of jean shorts with loose sweater and my combat boots. I put my hair into a high pony and put on light makeup.

I walk to the kitchen to find a full buffet out. Eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, fruit, everything.

"My god Lor. You are prepared." I yawned, getting some of everything.

"You can never be too prepared." She smiled. I nodded, taking a big bite of eggs.

"It can't be that far from here. I hope." I mutter, searching for my class. I've wandered around campus about three times looking for this building and have failed every time.

"Need help?" Someone said behind me. I turned around to find Caden. The one from Senior Skip day. "Hey! You're the girl that almost got hit with a football." He smiled in recognition.

"Yep. That's me." I chuckled. "But yeah, I need help finding the Lawrence building." I asked. He chuckled, nodding.

"Right then to the right. Kinda hard to miss." He said pointing to a large building slightly right of the quad, where I was.

"Oh my god! I'm blind!" I laugh and he does too.

"Don't worry. I couldn't find it my first time either." He assured me. I laughed, nodding. "So how's college going for you?" He asked as he walked with me to my class.

"Good. My room mate is very organized and the only reason I haven't died." I chuckle as we reach the building. "Thanks, but you didn't have to walk with me." I smile, the bell ringing for class to begin shortly.

"It's fine. Have fun!" He waves as he joins another friend. I walk into class and sit down towards the front. There are about six other freshman here and the upper class men begin to trickle in right before the bell and even after.

"Yeah, I'm getting ready to go to dinner with some friends." I told Naomi, who was FaceTiming me.

"Ooo! What are you wearing?" She asked, clapping. I laughed, putting my phone down and spinning around.

It was a simple white t-shirt with jeans and grey booties. I wore a burnt orange cardigan with my hair in a messy bun.

"Girl! It's August!" Naomi exclaimed as I nodded.

"And it's like sixty eight degrees!" I exclaimed grabbing my purse and phone.

"I wish it was that cold here! It's almost a hundred!" Naomi whined. I chuckled, meeting Lorelei and Logan in the living room.

"Well I have to go. Bye Nay!" I waved before hanging up. "Ready?" I asked and they nodded. We left the dorm and started to roam the streets of New York.

I loved it here. The city, the atmosphere, everything. I loved the city. Don't get me wrong, I love my small town in Texas, but I also love the big city.

We eventually reach the diner where our few friends are waiting. Logan has invited his friends while Lorelei and invited the few people we knew.

I sat beside a girl named Desire and a guy named Corey.

We spent the whole night laughing and eating amazing food. I found out that Desire hates her name and prefers the name Drew. I also learned that Logan made some great friends while he's been here.

My phone began to buzz, so I answered.

  "Hello"

"Hi. Lynnie, we're at your dorm."

  "You're what?"

"At your dorm. Came to surprise you."

"Marcus DeYoung!"

"Just come let us in. It's freaking cold!"

"Fine! I'm coming!" I sighed, getting up. "I'm sorry, but my boyfriend decided to surprise me and he's stuck outside our dorm. I need to go. Nice meeting all of y'all!" I smiled as I left.

When I returned, I found Marcus, Grant, and Marley outside my dorm.

"Holy crap!" I exclaimed running over giving Marley and huge hug. "I can't believe your here." I squealed and she laughed.

"What am I? Chopped liver?" Grant exclaimed as I laughed.

"No! Come here bud!" I did hugging him.

"Nice seeing you Kay." He smiled, as we let go. I looked over to Marcus.

"You." I said, stepping closer to him. "are supposed to be at school." I smirked, pecking his lips. It felt amazing to have his lips against mine.

"I just had to see you, and the twin terrors decided to tag along." I rolled his eyes and I laughed.

"Always causing trouble." I smirked as Marley smacked me. "Ow! Marls! That hurts!" I exclaim rubbing my arm.

"Anyway. How's college?" She asked as I opened the door to my dorm.

  It's great.
