I watched as Haley and Marcus had make out session by his locker, that was down the hall. I let out a huff, leaning against the lockers. Naomi appeared at my side frowning.
"I hope she's gone by Friday." She muttered. I nodded, pulling my backpack up higher on my shoulder.
It was Monday, and the two lovebirds haven't seen each other for a total of about 2 hours, so they were making up for lost time. Not a great way to start my week. After Marcus ditched my Friday night, and denied my offer to go bowling on Sunday to hang out with her, I haven't been in the best mood.
"I'm done with this." I groaned, pushing myself from my locker, going towards them. Naomi rushed after me, but my angered speed was to fast for her. I reached where they were, and decided to tickle Marcus. I grabbed his waist, tickling him. He quickly gagged, and felt o the floor, laughing. I crossed my arms over my chest, proud of the out come.
"What is wrong with you!! You little nerd!!" She hissed at me. I smirked, shaking my head. 3. 2. 1. Hm. Try again. 3. 2. 1. Nothing.
"Come in Haley, don't be so hard on Lynnie." He grinned, wrapping his arm lazily around her shoulders. I stood there shocked. Marcus didn't stand up for me. I watched as he placed a kiss to her temple, glancing back at me.
"I'm leaving." I growled, taking Naomi's hand and dragging her out of our school, to my car. We was finally able to stop me at my car, but I was fuming.
"Rae. Calm down." She whispered, holding onto my shoulders. I shook my head violently, glancing back towards the school, where the love birds ande their way from the school.
"You don't get it!!" I exclaimed. "He's been my best friend since birth!! Now, he leaves me for some blonde Barbie!! Who knew!!" I yelled, throwing my hands in the air. Naomi sighed, taking a step away from me.
"Rae, maybe all you need is a girls night. Tonight?" She questioned. I took a deep breath, shaking my head.
"It's a school night, and no, I'm not going to skip school. We'll do it on Friday, he ditches me, I ditch him." I smirked, looking at them as they have another make out session on top of Marcus's truck. "I'm going to leave before I throw up." I say, heading to the driver side of my Jeep. Naomi nodded, heading in the opposite direction.
"Bye Rae!! See you tomorrow!!" She called, waving.
"Bye Nay!!" I called back, slamming my car door shut, I threw my back pack into the passenger seat, and began my sort drive home.
"Hello my sweet home." I sighed, dropping my stuff on the hallway bench. I headed to the kitchen, to find my mom at the table, with her laptop open and papers everywhere. She was in the phone, and don't notice me come in. I went over, and sat across from her. She finally acknowledged me, grinning.
"Yes. Yes. Okay. Thank you. I'll have that sent to you by seven. Okay. Thank you. You too. Ba-Bye." She said. I sat there with my chin resting on my hand, as she sighed, grinning at me. She ran a hand through her wavy light brown hair, before expertly, pulling it into a quick messy bun.
"How was your day?" My mom asked, leaving hack. I nodded, glancing at her papers on the table.
"Could have been better. What are you doing here so early?" I asked, observing her outfit. She was in a pair of sweatpants and a large t-shirt, exposing that she had gone to work, than came home and changed into her comfy clothes.
"I had a phone meeting with some one important on something big for my career." She aid, excitement laced in her voice.
My mom always loved her job, but she always claimed she could do so much more. More than she thought. I guess now, she was getting that more.
