After Halloween, school was a blur. Just a bunch of stuff I won't be using in the future. Hey, I know I'm a nerd, but let's be honest, we all know that most of that stuff, a majority of people never use in their real life.
Now it's Thanksgiving. Three weeks ago, they found my dad. They couldn't or wouldn't tell us where he was, but I didn't care. He was safe.
I was looking in the mirror, grinning at my outfit. Naomi had helped me choose it special, because this year, my family and Marcus's family are on a cruise all thanksgiving break. I let out a deep breath, leaving my room on the end of the hall, knocking on my neighbors door, Marcus's. He opens up, and scans my outfit.
"You look amazing." He mutters.
I'm wearing a white t shirt tucked into a light blush nude skirt with a gray cardigan on top. To match, I put light brown boots on. My curly hair was pulled into a loose ponytail.
I blush, looking at the floor.
"Thanks." I say, as he lets me in. I head to his bed, sitting on it. He's currently only wearing his jeans and a belt. His hair is a mess, and his amazing body is on display. He stands in the mirror, pulling his plaid red flannel on. As he buttons it up I stand and head over to him. I help fix his hair, and I can feel him looking at me from the mirror. I fee myself blush, as I finish, stepping back.
"There." I whisper. He nods, turning around, grabbing my waist. He pulls me close to his body, and I can feel his breath on my face. He leans so close to me, I can't think straight.
Suddenly, there is a knock at the door, and we pull away. He rolls his eyes, going to it.
"Yes?" He asks annoyed. I can see Elliot and Ann watching us with a smirk.
"Time to go." Elliot states, as he takes Ann's hand and leaves. Marcus looks back at me, hooking his arm. I loop my arm with his as we head out. We arrive at the elevators, and we play a game where we guess what elevator is coming. I won.
We finally arrive at dinner with my mom, Claire, Elliot, Ann, Marcy, Baley, Nick, Marcus and me. We all sit at a large table at a nice restaurant with a whole bunch of food and just talk. I'm sitting beside Marcus, and he keeps looking at me.
"Anyone want dessert?" My mom asks everyone. I shake my head and so does Marcus.
"I think I'll just take Lynnie to the deck." Marcus says standing, as he takes me hand. I nod, following him out to the deck where there's music playing and people dancing. He grins at me, pulling me to the floor.
We begin to slowly sway to the song, my heart beating quickly. The song ends, as Marcus spins me, before dipping me. I laugh as he pulls me up. I see a waiter come towards us as he opens a tray. On it is a single rose and a card.
