Finally. The day was here. Winter Formal.

Since Marcus and I revealed how we feel for each other, we've been nothing but happy. We still hang out with each other AS FRIENDS. And Naomi knows.... hehe.

But now, Winter Formal is here and I'm so freaking excited. Im currently getting ready for school.

I search my closet looking for the perfect outfit. I've been trying to make my style a little more, stylish. But keep to my nerdy, geeky self.

I decided on a beige sweater that was slightly cropped and a floral skirt

I decided on a beige sweater that was slightly cropped and a floral skirt. I put in some cute gold studs and wore some white sandals as well as a long moon necklace. I straightened my curly hair and put it into a French braid. My make up was very natural with only powder, mascara, blush, and a lip tint.

I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs.

"Good morning." My mom greeted me. I waved, grabbing some cereal.

"So. I have something to tell you." She said, sitting across from me. I nodded, taking another bite.

"I'm starting my own business. It's going to be clothing and fashion. What do you think?" She said, excitement seeping through her. My eyes went wide, and my mouth fell open.

"Mom!! That's amazing!!!" I exclaimed, hugging her from across the table. When we pulled apart, her smile was so big.

There was a loud honk, as I quickly finished my cereal, and ran to the door.

"Is Marc not coming in?" She smirked, just as the door opened, and there stood Marcus with a red long sleeve shirt and some jeans. I couldn't help but blush, as he wrapped his arms around me kissing my head.

"Hey Lynnie. Ready to go?" He whispered in my ear. I nodded, waving bye to my mom as he dragged me to his truck. I climbed in, buckling up. He pulled out of my driveway heading to our high school. I was looking out my window when I felt his hand reach for mine and intertwine our fingers. I couldn't help but smile as I looked at him. I could see his radiant smile even though he was watching the road.

We arrived at school, silently climbing out. As we walked in, he put his arm around my shoulders. Everyone stared at us, and it made me uncomfortable. I looked down at the ground, feeling all eyes on me. Once in a while someone would whisper something about me.

  She's such a nerd.

I can't believe they're going to formal together.

  They shouldn't even be friends.

It wasn't until Marcus pulled me into the theater department and began wiping my cheeks, did I realize I was crying.

"Hey hey. Shush. I'm here okay. What's wrong?" He asked me, searching me. I shook my head, trying to go past him, but he grabbed my wrist.
