Maddie's POV

"Well, you made it! Top 5!" Hayley, my hair stylist says while doing my hair. Hayley might only be a hair stylist on here, but she always does an amazing job with my hair. And we have gotten pretty close since the start of the show.

"Yeah," I breathe out and look at myself in the mirror, "I can't even believe it."

"How are you and Caleb doing?" She says with a small smile.

"We're great," I grin, "He's everything I could ever want in a boyfriend."

Caleb and I have been together for about a month now, and it has been so amazing.

"That's great.. uh, Maddie?" Hayley says finishing my hair.

"Yeah?"

She looks at the floor for a moment, "What do you think about Cade?"

"Cade?" I look at her with wide eyes, "You like him don't you?"

"Uh.. yeah," she says in a weird tone.

"He's uh.. yeah, he's a great guy," I nod.

"Maybe you could, talk to him for me? You know, I'm way too nervous to." She looks over my head.

I look behind me, expecting to see Cade, but I don't. I only see Caleb, Catie, and a few other people that I'm not sure of their name. By the time I'm turned back around she's looking at me again with a blank expression.

"I mean, yeah, sure. Maybe Caleb could, too. I mean they're cl-"

"No no no, I'd rather you do it," she says quickly.

"Oh.. okay," I say confused.

After that night's performance I walk around looking for Cade.

"Hey, beautiful," Caleb says walking up to me.

"Hey," I say softly with a smile, "Have you seen Cade anywhere?"

"Uh, I think he went that way," He says pointing, "Why?"

"I'm going to.. I'm going to talk to him for Hayley."

"Hayley likes him?"

I nod, "Yep."

"I think he's into Gabby, though," Caleb says sadly.

"I don't know. Anyways, I'm gonna go talk to him. I'll be right back."

"Okay," he smiles and kisses my forehead.

I walk through the crowd of people backstage and I eventually find Cade in a corner, talking to Gabby.

"Hey, uh, Cade?" I say.

"What's up?" He looks at me, and Gabby does the same.

"Can I talk to you?" I look at Gabby, "Not trying to be rude, but alone please?"

"No problem," Gabby smiles and walks off.

I look to the right and see Hayley staring at me. I guess she's trying to hear the conversation.

"Okay, so, ah man, how do I say this?" I start.

"Say what?" Cade asks, and I hear the confusion in his voice.

"This is about Hayley," I put my hands together.

"Hayley? The hair stylist?"

"Yeah. She.. she.." I look over and see Hayley still watching me. I look back at Cade, "She likes you. And she likes you a lot."

Wow, I'm so awkward.

"Really?" Cade asks. After I nod he speaks again, "I'm sorry, but I like Gabby. And Gabby and I have been talking, and-"

"I know, but-" I don't get to finish.

"What are you doing?" Gabby asks.

I didn't even realize that Gabby was standing next to us.

"I was, uh, I was..." I start to panic.

"It sounds like you were hitting on Cade," Gabby crosses her arms.

"Gabby, she wasn't-" Cade starts.

Gabby scoffs and grabs Cade's wrist before walking off. I look to the right again and I don't see Hayley. Confused, I turn around and walk back through the crowd. I can't find Hayley anywhere.

"How'd it go, babe?" I hear Caleb say.

I turn around and face him, "Awful."

"What happened?" He asks.

I open my mouth to speak before I hear my name called out. I look and see Hayley.

"Oh, hey Hayley, I was looking for you," I say.

"Come with me," she says agitated.

"Okay, but-" I look at Caleb.

"Go ahead, I'll wait for you," he smiles.

I smile back before following Hayley.
