Chapter 14

Maddie's POV

It's been a month since I've won American Idol. I have been back and forth from California to other states, and it's SO tiring. Caleb has been with me for the most part, but there have been times when he was asked to be somewhere else.

My plane lands back in Los Angeles, and when I get off I see Caleb waiting for me with a huge smile on his face. I finally feel complete again when I feel his arms around me.

"I missed you so much," I say into his chest.

"I missed you more."

Caleb already had a hotel that he checked into when he got back out here. We get to his hotel and I put my suitcase in the corner of the room before laying down on the bed. I close my eyes.

"You wanna go do something?" Caleb asks, walking in.

"Nap," I say softly.

He chuckles, "Okay. No problem."

I wake up and see Caleb sitting on the edge of the bed on his phone. I check mine and see that I've been asleep for a little over an hour. It's a few minutes after three.

"I'm up," I giggle.

He looks at me, "Hey. Jace and Isabella are out here."

"Really?" I smile.

"Yeah. Maybe we can all do something together."

"I'd like that. Just let me go shower first," I laugh.

Jace and Isabella are some of Caleb's friends that he's known since kindergarten. I assume they've come out to see him. After I shower, I dress in the clothes that I brought into the bathroom with me. I blow-dry my hair and out just a little make up on.

"They're downstairs," Caleb says when I come out of the bathroom.

"Okay," I smile and grab my phone.

After hanging out for a few hours, Caleb says we should go back to the hotel. Jace goes back to his hotel but Isabella sticks around with us. Before we go back to the hotel, Isabella speaks to me.

"Hey, Maddie?" She says.

"Yeah?"

"Maybe we could hang out tomorrow. Just us," she smiles.

"I'd like that."

"Okay, I'll text you tomorrow or something!"

I nod at her before going into the hotel room with Caleb. I wake up the next morning and Caleb is still asleep. I smile at him. I go to my suitcase and get some clothes before taking them into the bathroom with me. Whenever I'm done, I go back out and see Caleb is awake.

"Morning, beautiful," he smiles.

"Good morning," I say, giving him a quick kiss on the lips, "you have plans for today?"

"I'm just gonna hang out with Jace. What time is Isabella coming?"

"I don't know. She's supposed to text me." Just then I hear my phone ding. I look and see that she texted me. I look up at Caleb, "She'll be here in 10 minutes."

"Have fun," he smiles.

"You too! We have rehearsals tomorrow," I remind him.

"Yeah we do! I can't wait to see everyone again."

"Me too," I smile.

"Hey, how about tonight I take you out for dinner," he says.

"Okay," I hug him, "I can't wait."
