Nikko's adventure: Book 1 The 9 Trials

Chapter 1: What Lies Ahead

Nikko slowly stands up whilst flinching from the pain and then he looks around himself and his surroundings and sees nothing but jagged rocks, crystals protruding from the ground in various sizes and shapes and spires, all in a dark purple color. He walks around climbing rocks and gazing at different views and sights of the planet just trying to find some sort of civilization or place to stay. He continues to walk around and then he spots a mountain with what looks like an entrance in it and he makes way for the mountain. "The gravity of this planet is waaaay different then on Earth, I feel lighter but the mountain is still really far away, this might take a while getting to it, legs I'm sorry" Nikko says as he continues walking across the rocky landscape, and then spots a relic on the ground a couple feet away from him. As he picks up the relic he holds his head in pain as images of what seems to be a holy war flashes through his mind, still wincing from the pain he puts the relic in his pocket and continues walking. Still walking Nikko's legs start to give out but he pushes himself to walk and then realizes something, "I swear I saw myself in those images that were in my head...except in some weird black armor but a lot more futuristic then traditional knight armor, what the hell did I see?" he thinks to himself. As he gets closer to the mountain another image flashes in his head, and image of himself standing tall on a mountain raising his sword as if he is about to enter a long battle.

After hours of walking and pushing himself Nikko finally gets to the mountain and walks into the entrance leading inside the mountain "dang, it's almost pitch black in here how the hell do I navigate without a light hmmm" he says as he starts feeling the the flat walls of the mountain "Did someone live here before? These feel like...metal walls" he keeps feeling for something. Nikko's hand touches some sort of touch pad and the entire inside of the mountain lights up "oh! That...that's odd but whatever, time to see what's in here" he explores the inside of the mountain, spotting many relics, shelves, rooms and a ladder leading up, he climbs the ladder. Nikko gets to the room the ladder led to and is awestruck by the sight "W-Wow this room's huuuuge! It's like a master bedroom but with more master! And bigger! it even has a really big bed awesome!" without a single thought he jumps onto the bed and quickly falls asleep. He wakes up a few hours later and rolls off the bed still tired and fatigued, Nikko then looks out the enormous window going from the floor of the room all the way up to the roof "Ok thats a giant window how did I not see this? And the roof of this room seems a lot taller than any normal house, who knew living in a mountain could be so awesome, I can see the universe so clearly from here, anyway time for more adventure" and with that he climbs down the ladder and spots another ladder leading down. With what seemed as almost an hour of climbing down he spots a room to his right "Im not even gunna question the absurd length of that ladder" with one last look at the ladder he enters the room and steps into a medieval armory.

He looks around the room and sees the same knight armor with the same sword and shield hung up on a far side of the room "wait...I feel like I'm in for something big....like reaaaally big, but holy crap that's freaking awesome at the same time woah!" without hesitation he puts the armor on along with strapping the sword and shield his side " huh its a perfect fit and I didn't need anyone to help put this one, this is definitely some type of futuristic knight armor" He walks out of the room while getting very excited from wearing what seems to be more than battle ready knight armor. Nikko takes another look at the sword but in confusion "ok so one side of this very thick sword has a sort of crimson red edge and the edge is also serrated, the hilt points downwards with the serrated teeth on it while the other side has a blue colored edge and isn't serrated but the hilt is slightly curved and has I guess metal going up at a curve...huh neat" he takes a look at the shield "It's the same color scheme, black as the main color and red and blue as the secondary colors as lines or details except the shield is symmetrical with the colors" after looking at his sword and shield he goes down a tunnel. "The armor has the same style as the armor I saw in those visions, what's going on? What is this place? Wait, crap maybe the armory it was in has answers!" Nikko rushes back to the armory and sees writing that was behind the gear "This is in...proper english too? Ok that's really damn convenient and odd anyway it says 'armor to be worn only by the true knight of god, this armor and equipment are made from the creator of all, the creator of the universe, the god of everything, may the one fated to wear this armor shine bright across everything in existence' and now I'm slightly concerned for my life ok..." he starts back down the tunnel. He keeps walking down the tunnel seeing big words saying "The labyrinth is up ahead" or "Meet your truest self here...or die trying" and "only the fated one will find the end of this labyrinth and the secrets left in there" he keeps walking...for what seems like hours.

Nikko starts to pass out from exhaustion but pushes himself to move on, but something snaps him back into his full energy....a sound that can be produced only by a bloodthirsty beast, he starts to run full speed down the tunnel as he hears giant footsteps and feels the tunnel rumbling. Still running Nikko sees the tunnel glow a bright orangish yellow, the same glow he saw from the relic he picked up while walking to the mountain "What the hell!? Now the tunnel has giant gears turning and what the in name of holy f*** are those footsteps coming from!?!?" He continues running but runs into what seems to be a metal door. Slowly losing hope he turns around and draws his sword holding it in his right hand as he raises his shield with his left hand, the ground starts expanding as the gears get farther "Are the gears pulling this part of the tunnel open? Agh whatever this thing chasing me is the focus here" his legs start shaking but he tries to stay brave and courageous as everything shakes more and more, the footsteps getting louder and closer and then!...everything stops...the footsteps, the gears, everything and only the shimmering light from within the walls move. "Soo many questions..n-no too many for even one person yeesh" slowly getting up from the ground are thin undead soldiers, without hesitation Nikko slashes them and bashes them one by one "that's a lot better than a giant damn monster that would probably end my life in less then a second" he turns around to face the door as it slowly opens as words whispered in his ear say "Enter the labyrinth fated one"...with no questions and only bravery...Nikko enters the labyrinth.
