Nikko gets warped to the third trial, the trial of defense and then notices gunfire and explosions of in the distance behind him. He rushes through the door behind him and sees the source of the gunfire and people getting shot at hiding behind sandbags and thick walls and without thinking he dashes into the gunfire shielding the ones injured as he brings them back to safety. The gunfire only continues and grows stronger as they start to shred the hiding spots making the people behind them cry and drown in terror, he tries to slice every bullet and succeeds but the gunfire doesn't stop. Going under more and more stress as the people plead for help while crying Nikko remembers what he did to protect Isabel and then tries it but in a much larger radius. He pulls his sword back out from the ground but then in even more force the gunfire starts again and he instantly pulls his shield up before a bullet hits him. Nikko thinks about what he can do with his shield and then starts pouring sound and light along with a large amount of energy and then slams his shield upright into the ground.
The sound and light erupt from the ground making a transparent and very tall wall spanning across the entire area, blocking every bullet and repelling some. The people hiding all come out and some walk towards Nikko as some others look at the wall he placed down with his shield. Someone comes up to Nikko, a male in his mid 20's and asks Nikko how he did that while looking at his shield still one his arm. Nikko answers only by saying it's something very complicated and that he wouldn't understand and then the man says something that catches Nikko off guard "Are you the fated one?" everyone quickly looks at Nikko. Stunned, Nikko's only reply is "y-yeah" then everyone quickly rejoices yelling and celebrating "that fated one is here! The fated one is here!" and Nikko looks at everyone both confused but happy. He asks everyone how they know of him and some say they heard it from a childhood story, others saying they know of him from churches and god. Nikko nods and quickly a small girl runs up to Nikko and pleads him to save her parents who are trapped on the other side where the gunfire is, then without hesitation he goes past his wall and dashes through the gunfire.
Nikko dashes into the giant destroyed building behind the gunfire and with his enhanced hearing he can hear people sobbing from multiple areas in the building, almost everywhere. He quickly dashes through roof into the second floor to the closest people and sees someone curled up in a ball sobbing. Nikko reassures the girl and then surrounds her in a protective shell of sound and tells her to wait at the bottom floor, then dashes into other areas and rooms on the second floor. Nikko covers everyone in a shell of sound from on the second floor and then dashes through to the third floor, continuing this process until the top floor. Nikko spots a man and a woman being held hostage and before anyone in the room notices him he dashes at the speed of sound and cuts down the enemies in the room, bashing some through the wall out of the building. He unties the man and woman guessing they are the little girl's parents and tell them to meet him on the first floor, but before he leaves the man stops him.
???: fated on it's you, it's finally you! Thank god you're here, you can finally put an end to this war
Nikko: so you know about me too huh? Lemme have your name while we walk to the bottom
David: my name is david and my wife's name is Sarah, we both got captured when we were separated from our daughter Lily
Nikko: oh so that was her name, yeah Lily ran up to me after I protected everyone on the other side so you don't have to worry about her
David: oh thank god she's still safe
Nikko: anyway tell me about this war
Sarah: I know the most about this war, it started from a tyrant whose name is unknown by everyone but he took over the world with brute force, some not wanting to die went by his rule but the ones wanting freedom started revolting...that's us but...almost all are dead
