Luke's POV

I just stared at Kristen laying motionless on the bed wondering if she will be okay or not.

"Will she be okay?" I asked

"I don't know, we have to run some tests on her." the nurse said

Kristen started waking up and I smiled into those blue eyes of hers. She looked at the man who shot her and he was next to her in the other bed and then back at Nash.

Kristen's POV

I started to wake up and I looked at Luke and my heart just melted. I found out that the man was right next to me. then I looked over at Nash who gave me a small smile. I breathed fast.

"Is she okay?" Luke asked grabbing my hand and coming close

"I don't know!? Doctors!" She called

My breathing was so fast I was having an anxiety attack I think. She made Luke and Nash wait in the waiting room. Luke had to let go of my hand, and when he did I felt so alone wanting his comfort.

I freaked out because 1 the man who shot me was in the bed next to me and seeing Nash here just made me feel awkward and different. especially what happened when he left me the last time in the hospital and never coming back.

Luke's POV

"Why did she freak out when she saw me?" Nash asked

"I don't know. but calm down the guy who just shot her was right next to her so I understand why she would freak out." I told him

"I know, it's just she blew me off at the carnival and...." he sighed "I don't know Luke, am I wasting my time?" Nash asked

"Well.. whatever you think." I said

"I just don't understand how she got kidnapped if she want at her house the night it happened, then where was she and how did you find out about it?" Nash asked and my face turned bright red. what do I tell him?

"I will tell you later." I said and walked into Kristen's room. there was just one nurse in there watching her. I walked up to Kristen and she was awake. she waved. I did a small wave back.

"Right now she is fine, we just need to make sure if she can remember anything." the nurse said

"What!?" I yelled a little

"She may or may not have a memory loss problem. but we can try if we get her talking." she said

She took off Kristen's air mask and the nurse told her to talk.

"Hi Kristen." I said

"Hi Luke." She said and I gave her a big hug.

"I missed you so much." she said

"I missed you too." I said

We stopped hugging.

"Um Nash wanted to know how all of this happened. should I tell him?"

"Go ahead. It doesn't matter anymore."

"Okay. but bye for now." I said and gave her a kiss an left

I walked up to Nash.

"Listen, about how this all happened.

Unknown came to her house and talked to her how Cameron killed Emily and how he wanted revenge. and so after she told me that she didn't feel safe in her own house so she came and slept their for the night and then while she was sleeping I went to the store to get some things and then when I came back she was gone." I was out of breath

"You left her alone?" Nash said

".....Yes." I admitted

"Why?!"

"I wanted to get more food for the next morning...."

"Don't lie Luke. what were you really getting?" Nash asked suspiciously

"I went to get a pack of cigarettes okay." I admitted

"Luke.. you smoke?" he asked

"Yes. and I am not proud of it but My friend Zayn Malik was at my house last week and he asked me if I smoke and I told him no, but then he dared me to and I did and now I can't stop." I said

"Wow." he commented

I just rolled my eyes

"Oh and by the way Kristen is in the other room talking to the nurse."

"No way!" Nash said and started running to Kristen's room

What did I jut tell that boy?

Kristen's POV

I am glad Luke stopped by and the fact that I can speak which is great.

I heard footsteps running towards my room. It was Nash.

"Hi Kristen." he said

"Um hi..Nash." I said

"I heard you are feeling better." he said sitting in the chair beside me

"Yeah. I'm doing fine."

"I am so glad you are okay." he said coming over and he have me a hug.

I smiled a little

"Thanks."

"So I guess no carnival?"

"I can go to the carnival with you, sometime." I said and laughed

"Good."
