"Oh" she said, "I'll just come back then"
"I won't be long, you can wait", Ben said.
She heard the water come on, and then after a few minutes it was off again. When he stepped out, he was dressed once again. A scowl on his face. No steam from the shower. Damn she thought.
Was there no hot water, she asked. It was the simple pleasures that sometimes made all the difference.

The cold shower has done little to curb his temper. He looked over to her, as she gathered her things to take her turn in the bathroom.

"Rey." His voice was stern.
She looked up at him, his wet hair glistened but other than that he was all serious. Far too serious she thought.
"Do you want to know my punishment, my penance for been here, back with the Rebellion? Not accepted, not part of it, just a drone doing its job!" His voice grew in frustration as she looked at him, her eyes imploring him to tell her, as she took a gingerly step towards him.
"YOU! My penance must be served, where there is no light." He said.
"I don't understand ", she whispered as a tear escaped and ran down her cheek.
He moved closer to her, and ran his thumb over her split tears.
"I would have taken you already, if I could", he whispered.
He tried to control his feelings, but was loosing the battle. He took her arms and pushed her against the wall. He pressed his body against hers, pinning her there. He felt her softness, he could feel her heart racing, her shortness of breath. Good, she felt it too.
He looked down at her, his code of honour, of having given his word came back to haunt him. He pushed himself back.
"Damn you", he said before stepping away.
He began to pace and she recalled he had done the same in her room on the Star Destroyer.
"For how long", she asked simply, although frustration tainted her voice.
"What?" Ben turned to ask.
"Your penance. It can't be for ever."
At that moment the door opened.

Finn and Poe came to collect Ben. They would shortly be flying to the conference. Rey would be traveling on another transport with Leia.

When Finn opened the doors to the room he found Rey against the wall, her face flustered, whilst Ben was walking towards them. The three men exited the room.

"What were you doing in there Ren?" Finn asked accusatory, using Ben's old name. He only did that when he was angry.
"You have a wife, figure it out FN!" Ben replied equally frustrated.
Poe jumped in before this turned into a testosterone fuelled scuffle which would get them all into trouble. "Look. Finn has a point. You know the conditions of being here."
Ben just growled and kept walking towards the ships hanger. He hadn't touched her! Next time he wouldn't be so accommodating to the regulations imposed on him.

Rey watched as Ben left with Finn and Poe. The Rebellion would be reborn today as they all went with a common goal, defeat Hux and his delusional leadership of the First Order. Despite the enormity of the task ahead for all of them, all her thoughts lingered on her conversation with Ben.
She stepped into the bathroom and let the warm water flow over her, clearing and calming her mind. "Ben", she whispered to herself.

Ben was walking up the ramp of the Raptor and turned as he heard her call his name. But she wasn't there. He closed his eyes to concentrate. All he saw was the steam from the hot water. Even his Jedi powers couldn't clear that away, he thought sheepishly. He suddenly had the urge to press himself against her body. He heard his name again. This time louder.
"Ben, keep moving", Poe nudged him up the ramp. The connection was gone. The mission had begun.
