The Senators were all in their respective alcoves in the Galactic First Order Senate. When General Hux arrived he thought he was being led to the Chancellors seating, as was customary, but was then seated to the side. Instead the head of the Senate Council, a man that Hux himself had put in that position took the chancellors chair.
Hux dampened his anger. Soon they would all be reminded that these meetings were nothing more than mere formality. In the end the First Order's military might ruled. And with Hux's new weapon, well...
Hux took his seat and listened to the chancellor welcome everyone, including the representative from Coruscant - Princess Leia.
Leia had been to these senate meetings before, so she knew what to expect. The senators would complain to the chancellor that their systems were struggling - even though these men and women never saw the struggle of their people. This one was different however, in part because the chancellor held no power and any complaints were really directed at the First Order. And the senators knew not to displease the First Order unless they wanted contracts removed and taken elsewhere.
After the introductions it seemed Leia would be given the opportunity to talk straight after Hux. She wasn't going to mince her words. But first she had to endure Hux who went on an on...

"~ The First Order  wants continued peace. These Jedi children, who I have personally seen to their training, are the future of peace in the galaxy". Hux had practiced this speech countless times. He now stood as the young Jedi walked out. They were all dressed in grey First Order uniforms. The senate looked upon them. Some in awe, others in shock or fear.
Leia looked on as the children stood to attention before the planetary system senators.
It was now her turn to talk.
Leia rose from her seat with a smile on her face. She was going to enjoy putting Hux in his place.

"The gifted children are not for you to command and do your bidding. What exactly have you been training these Jedi?
The Jedi have always been the keepers of peace in the galaxy, and here I see the military might of the First Order training them for what purpose I ask.
To create another army? Was it not you General that moved away from clones to taking young children to become your elite Stormtroopers?" Leia's voice remained strong and full of conviction. She could see Hux trying to control his anger. He finally rose to give his response.
"Hah! I'm to be chastised by you Princess. Daughter of Darth Vader, and mother to Kylo Ren! I seek to bring a new order to the galaxy. Not through the tyranny but by the peace of the Jedi. So please do not lecture me!"

"I didn't realise this meeting was a genealogy lecture." Leia said, not even flinching at Hux's remarks. She had been expecting some kind of attack. She in fact was glad he had brought it up so early. She continued,
"My father - Anakin Skywalker- was corrupted by Darth Sidious, who became Emperor and dissolved the senate council creating the Empire. Anakin's heart was poisoned by the Sith.
Equally, my son - Ben Solo - was poisoned by Snoke. When both the Emperor and Snoke met their end, Anakin and Ben equally returned to the light. So I ask again General, what is your purpose for training these young Jedi. You may not be Sith, but your heart is surrounded by darkness. You appear to want the First Order to succeed where the Empire failed".
With that Leia took her seat to await Hux's reply. The majority of the senators equally waited to see how the General would respond. When Hux remained silent the chancellor stood up and said "Perhaps it would be best if the Senate took control of the children, General. After all, the Senate is the government for the First Order."
Leia sensed the frustration growing in the General. Good she thought, perhaps now the senate would see the truth behind the leader of the First Order. She didn't have to wait long.
Hux stood once again. "And what does the senate propose to do with them? If peace is to continue, the First Order must complete their training."
"So we agree then General. You will hand over the children to the senate. After all as I have already said, we are the First Order government."
Hux's face turned a dangerous shade of red before he jumped out of of his seat and yelled, "I AM THE FIRST ORDER!"

With that Hux signalled to his officers by his side, who in turn gave a nod of acknowledgement.
Everyone in the huge auditorium waited. It had suddenly gone very quiet.
Whilst everyone had been concentrating on Hux, the young Jedi had been busy silently walking around to different areas of the auditorium. The lights appeared to dim.
Leia looked around and gently touched her bracelet.
