Balance in the Force

"So your penance is over," Rey murmured as she rolled over in his bed. She felt incredibly used and wonderful. She slowly open her eyes. Ben lay on his back. When she poked him gently in the ribs he just groaned. She leant over him and kissed him gently on the lips. He responded by groaning again.
She let her lips slide down his neck to his collarbone and kissed him again, as she moved across to his shoulder. She finally got a response, as he took her arms and pushed her back onto the bed. She looked up at him innocently before smiling. He wasn't so innocent or gentle when he responded.

Rey was walking out of the shower, and found Ben already dressed. He had joined her in the shower but her love of water always kept her lingering under the spray for much longer.
"Rey," Ben sounded serious. After such a wonderful night she didn't want anything to destroy it. Not even the mission which was yet to be completed. But it was time to get back to the problem at hand.

He held out his hand and she walked to him, taking it before sitting beside him.
"Rey, you must practice to control your thoughts, or else they could be used against you. Against those you love." He lowered his gaze as he spoke these last words.
She understood why he had deceived her, and the other rebels. The strong mind of their new foe would have easily sensed their minds. When Ben had told her Leia knew, Rey's heart had grown even more for him if that was possible.

They had laid in the new coordinates. It would be the two lovers, the Skywalker prodigy and the Kenobi descendant. Both Jedi Ben Solo and Rey Kenobi, together would defeat the darkness rising, and the Force grew strong around them.

"We are approaching the First Order ship. Do you sense it?" Ben asked her. Rey nodded, she could feel the darkness beating from the ship before them. They would land without any hiding. They were there for one purpose alone. To destroy the darkness.

"General Hux, the ship has landed. It is surrounded by our best troops." Hux simply turned and headed down to the hanger. The doors of the Raptor had yet to open. Hux stood his ground and waited. And then waited some more.
Finally he gave the order to open the ramp to the ship. Two of the troopers overrode the controls. Every one stood in silence as the ramp finally started to lower. Before the ramp was half the way down, the entire ship exploded creating chaos in the hanger. The bodies of dead troopers peppered the area. Hux, it would seem was the villain who always managed to get away...just in time. He had been called by his new Master and had cleared the area before the explosion.

As Hux walked into the chambers of his Master the hanger wasn't the only area of destruction. The chamber resembled the mess that had been Snoke's chambers when Ren and the scavenger had killed him. How had they got here! The curtains then moved, and he instinctively took out his blaster. Before he knew what happened, the blaster went off. He didn't trigger it, he thought. He heard the thump, from the opposite direction, just as he had seen the blaster fire curve in trajectory. Which was equally impossible, except, and then he understood in horror.
"How, damn you! Damn you both!" Hux yell. He then ran to his Master.
The stain on the shirt of the Master was blossoming out. The shot would be lethal. Ben knew it instantly as he walked over to them both. Rey walked beside him. Both Jedi were completely in sync allowing their final mission to be a success.
"What a waste," Ben whispered, as he looked at the young dying body of Lucas.
"Why?" Rey asked. "You helped us, so why did you come back?"
Lucas tried to lift himself up, as he coughed up blood.
"The Force is a mystery, even to me," Lucas replied. There was no anger in his voice, just acceptance of his fate.
Before Hux could do something stupid, Ben pierced him with his lightsaber.
"Your time is up General."
Hux looked up at Ren and smiled.
"And you will always be Rebel scum." Hux then fell back, landing beside his young Master. Lucas's life Force had been extinguished.

Rey and Ben moved away, and began to make their way to the bridge of the Star Destroyer. The final piece of the plan would now come into play.

Throughout the First Order, communications had been received that the senate council would be taking full command and a brave New Republic was in the midst of being created. Amongst this the Jedi would over time maintain peace in the galaxy. The First Order would remain as the military might to keep systems honest and maintain order, but under the direction of senators and not one dictator.

Ben hooked his arm around Rey's waist, pulling her towards him. "It's time to go," he whispered. She nodded and walked with him out to another ship. They would not be returning to the Resistance or the Republic.

It was a time for a new beginning both for the republic without the Skywalker blood to create wrinkles in the Force. It was also time for a new beginning for Rey and Ben.

"So I was thinking," Ben said, "how about Jakku for our honeymoon. I hear it's nice this time of year." Rey rolled her eyes as she punched the coordinates into the Millennium Falcon, flying out of the Star Destroyer straight into hyperspace.
She was sure Finn and the others would be able to find suitable transport. Chewie growled in agreement, this time it was Ben's turn to roll his eyes.
