Tulip and I have been called by the rest of the New Squidbeak Splatoon back at Octo Valley. My best guess for this sudden reunion is because the blueprints have arrived and they want to discuss on what to do to infiltrate in the company. We eventually reached Cuttlefish Cabin and saw that everyone was waiting for us.

"Hi everyone," I greeted, while Tulip just waved.

"Hey you two," Marie greeted.

"We got something important to discuss," said Marina.

"So the blueprints arrived earlier than I expected. At least that's good news," I said.

"So it WAS you!" said Pearl, pointing at me.

"You say it like it's a bad thing," I said in a neutral voice.

"How did you even get these?" Agent 3 asked.

"I got connections," I simply responded.

"Well, it doesn't matter. We can plan how to infiltrate this company now," Said Marie.

"That's correct. (F/n) did you had the chance to look at the blueprints before it came to us?" Marina asked.

"No, I fear not. Let's see if I still recognize some parts of that company," I said as I take a closer look at them.

There were at least four blueprints in front of me, and I'm looking thoroughly to see if I can recognise the testing area and the 'dorm' area. Eventually, I found the testing area and from there, the dorm area.

"Alright, this is the testing area," I said as I pointed at the basement blueprint, "With some actual explosions or if I use my acidic ink at some key parts of the structure, it could collapse in itself."

"That... could actually work, but I think the hardest part would be entering it," Marina pointed out.

"That's true, we don't know how many soldiers would be guarding, let alone, how to help all the 'subjects' escape," said Callie.

"Hmm, I might be able to get the schedules of these soldiers. Emphasis on might," I said in a serious tone.

"Any help is better than none," said Agent 4.

As the day went on, everyone made multiple plans to help escape the 'subjects' or any of us if were to get caught.

-Later that day, on a train towards Inkopolis-

On the railway to Inkopolis are two Inklings waiting to arrive at their destination. One of them is a cream coloured Inkling, while the other one is red.

"So Emily, why are we going to Inkopolis?" Raquel asked, Emily's best friend.

"We're going to try and looks for an old friend of mine," Emily responded.

"Are you sure that he's in Inkopolis? For all we know, he could be in a different city entirely," Raquel asked.

"Well, there are stories going around there by someone who they call 'The Midnight Ghost'. And I have a strong suspicion that it's him," Emily responded.

"Really? How can you be sure about that?" Raquel asked.

"Some people who actually saw him said that he has black tentacles. I only know one who fits that description," said Emily with a smile.

"That inkling that you saved a couple of years ago?" Raquel asked.

"Correct," Emily simply responded.

While the two friends continue to talk, the train started to slow down as it arrives at Inkopolis. Once it arrives at the station, all the passengers either steps out of the train or goes on it.

"So, where are we supposed to meet your boyfriend?" Emily asked.

"At Inkopolis Plaza, in front of the Battle Tower," Raquel responded.

"Is he absolutely fine with us coming over?" Emily asked in a worried tone.

"Yes, he reasured us that its fine," said Raquel with a smile.

The both of them started to make their way towards the Plaza. Eventually, Raquel noticed her boyfriend, a marine blue Inkling. Raquel waved at him to get his attention and he, eventually, waved back.

"Hey girls," he greeted.

"Hey, Anthony," Raquel greeted.

"How was the ride?" he asked.

"Long," Raquel responded.

"So, this is your friend?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm Emily Beige. Pleasure to meet you," said Emily.

"Likewise. Now, come. I'll lead you guys to my home," said Anthony, leading the two girls to his home.

-Later that night, at the darker side of Inkopolis-

I'm walking past all the decayed and abandoned homes, shops and apartments and was looking for one of my connections. Apparently, he got some good news for me. He said that he would meet me at the abandoned bakery, which wasn't the hardest thing to find, especially being the only one in the shady side of Inkopolis.

I eventually found the bakery and enter it through the hole at the side of the building. Inside, I saw my guy, Anthony Navy.

"Hey man. How are you holding?" he asked in his usual calm tone.

"Busy planning things," I simply responded.

"Understandable. Well, like I said, I got some good news. The one that's more important to you is about the soldier's schedule, I'll obtain that information it in two days. The other, is more personal for you," he explained.

"What would that be?" I asked with caution and curiosity.

"Emily is in Inkopolis. I know it's her because her friend, my girlfriend, talked about a certain 'city legend' on the way here, and about an Inkling with black tentacles," he said with a smile.

I was shocked to hear that Emily has arrived at Inkopolis, especially after all this time.

"Are you positive it's her?" I asked.

"Absolutely. So, when are you going to meet her?" he said.

"Hmm... Tell her that you heard some rumours that the last place I was seen was here," I said, grabbing a piece of paper and write the address on it.

Once I was done writing, I handed the piece of paper to him.

"Want me to give it to her tomorrow?" he asked.

"No, give her after a couple of days, so she can enjoy sightseeing Inkopolis. When she wants to look for me, give the address to her," I explained.

"Alright, anything else?" he asked.

"That's all, thanks for the information, Anthony," I said with a smile.

"Understood. I'll see you around, Midnight Ghost," he said, exiting the abandoned shop.

I rolled my eyes when he called me by my title and make my way towards the warehouse. It quite nice, stopping early tonight.
