True Colors (Splatoon Story) (Complete)

Chapter 9 -Reunion-

It has been a couple of days since they started plan things out to infiltrate Exalted Flame and everyone has been thinking all kinds of backup plans. Right now, the Squid Sisters are resting after their show and are discussing about (F/n).

"I can't believe how fast everything is going," said Callie.

"I have to agree, (F/n) knows what he's doing and what to look out for," said Marie.

"But I'm still worried about his nightly escapades. Agent 8 said that he sleeps until late in the day," said Callie in a worried tone.

"I can understand that. But we also need to remember that he's doing a lot for us, during the night. Like the blueprints, the soldier's schedules and lately busy with some customs weapons for us," Marie explained.

"And I'm grateful what he's doing, but...," Callie started.

"He's working himself to dead?" Marie asked.

"Yeah, that," said Callie in a sad tone.

"But, he's also looking for someone, according to Agent 8 and 4. He's looking Emily. Agent 8 said that she's in Inkopolis right now, so my guess is that he's either waiting or looking for her," Marie explained.

"But can't we help him find her?" Callie asked.

"Not really. He doesn't know her last name, so neither do we," said Marie in an disappointed tone.

A moment of silence started to form between the two pop stars, not sure what to say next.

"You're worried about him, aren't you?" Marie asked.

"What do you mean?" Callie asked in a confused tone.

"That this Emily could potentially steal (F/n)," Marie explained.

"I wasn't until now!" Callie said in a slight distressed tone.

"*Chuckles* I'm kidding, Cal. It's quite funny to see you overreact like that," said Marie with a sly grin.

Callie was not happy with that joke, but she didn't want to burst into anger, she decided to simply stand up and walk out of the studio.

"Oh come on, Callie. It was just a joke!" said Marie as she started to follow her.

-Inkopolis Plaza-

Emily, Raquel and Anthony just arrived at Inkopolis Square after a couple of days of sightseeing.

"Hey guys? It was nice sightseeing Inkopolis and all, but I do wish to try to find my old friend," said Emily.

"Alright, do you have a description of him?" Anthony asked curiously.

"I believe that he's a well known legend around Inkopolis. He goes by the name 'The Midnight Ghost'," Emily explained.

"You know him?" Anthony asked curiously.

"Somewhat. I helped him years ago, and we promised each other to meet at Inkopolis, and I have a strong feeling that the Midnight Ghost is him," she explained.

"Then I might be able to help you," said Anthony.

"You can?" Raquel asked curiously.

"Yeah, I heard some rumours that he was last seen around Walleye Warehouse," Anthony explained.
