Chapter 14: bad boys

Ever since they bought a lot of stuff for little Yoonie they saw a lot more of little Yoonie. Yoongi wouldn't go back to his room first to slip but instead would stay in the living room. Everyone had realised by now the difference between Yoonie and Kookie (besides age). Kookie was a lot more energetic and talktive while Yoonie was silent and shy. There were days that little Yoonie wouldn't say anything the whole day long, and nobody knew why. Of course they had asked Yoongi about it but he didn't know either, little Yoonie just didn't like talking. Kookie didn't seem to mind at all that his little brother wouldn't talk much, he would just talk for 2 instead. Both Yoongi and  Yoonie were genuily happy with the new situation, besides the fact that there was something that seemed missing, Yoongi just didn't know what.

Yoongi was in his studio working on a new song when he suddenly realised what he had been missing from little space, some alone time. He loved his caregivers, really! And playing with Kookie was also a lot of fun but little Yoonie needed some alone time as well. In the end Yoongi and Yoonie were still the same person, meaning they had a lot of things in common, and needing some alone time was one of them. There was just one little problem: slipping alone was against the rules. Yoongi started to think about options, the song long forgotten. Yoongi would feel happiest if both his big and little self were happy. His big self had been doing pretty good again lately, he didn't had to go to the psychologist anymore and the voices were gone (or ignorable, depended on time and day). His little self had also been doing good but was slowly doing worse, like little Yoonie needed to recharge the 'happy' battery. Yoongi knew that if he would slip right now, his little self would keep it a secret, so that wasn't the problem. The problem was that Yoongi, big or little, was afraid of breaking the rules. Yoongi might seem as some kind of bad boy but he really wasn't. Breaking the rules was something Yoongi never did (besides maybe that one time cheating on the diet but that didn't feel like breaking a rule). After around 30 minutes Yoongi realised that he should be working on his song so he went back to doing that, or at least, he tried. Now that Yoongi knew that Yoonie just needed some alone time he couldn't get the thought out of his head. Maybe I should ask one of the members if I could slip on my own every once in a while. Yoongi thought but almost instandly dismissed that thought, there was no way they would let him slip alone. Maybe I could just slip right now, nobody would notice. But he also dismissed that idea, he didn't have any of his little stuff in his studio right now and he didn't want to break the rules. In the end Yoongi decided to pick up some of his little stuff and put it in his studio so if he had the courage to slip he could do it.

"Where is Yoongi-hyung?" Jungkook asked Namjoon. They hadn't seen Yoongi in a few days besides one evening that he came home, grabbed a bag with stuff and went back to his studio. "In his studio probably, even though I thought he had said he would come this practice." "Yeah, that's why I asked. He's been in his studio for way too long." "Maybe you can go check on him Jungkook-ah?" "Will do!" Jungkook said, walking towards the door of the practice room. The studios and practice room where at the same building, the bighit entertainment building. Jungkook walked to the genius lab and rang the doorbell but nobody answered. For the millionth time probably Jungkook cursed at the 2 sound proof doors Yoongi used. He could yell all he wanted but Yoongi would never hear him. Jungkook rang the doorbell again and this time Yoongi did answer, or at least, that's what Jungkook thought.

It was the first time ever for little Yoonie to hear the doorbell. Even afer 7 years of hiding and slipping in the studio nobody had ever rang the doorbell. The first time it happened scared little Yoonie a lot. He didn't know where the sound was coming from, but it looked like one of his new plushies had made it. The second time Yoonie heard the doorbell he actually heard where it came from, the door. Little Yoonie had never actually opened the studio door before, mainly because Yoongi would always go big again before doing that. Then why didn't Yoongi go big right now? He couldn't. Staying in the studio for 3 days without a break had taken toll on Yoongi and he was too stressed to go back to big space. If he had known or realised that he was this stressed Yoongi would never had slipped in the first time. The only reason he had slipped was because little Yoonie needed some alone time. Yoonie went to the door (and the second door) opened it and saw Jungkook. "Kookie" little Yoonie whispered. "Oh, Yoonie? Did you slip? You know we are not allowed to slip on our own!" Jungkook said surprised, he never thought little Yoonie would break a rule, that was more little Kookies thing. As soon as Jungkook said that Yoonie realised what he did and went back big the stress being forgotten. "Oh Jungkook, it's not what it looks like, I swear!" Yoongi said scared. Jungkook looked at Yoongi and started to laugh. "You don't have to be so scared! Just be happy I found you and not one of the others! I won't tell anyone!" "Thank you Jungkook-ah! I'll buy you some lamb skewers later! But why did you come?" "Oh, yeah, we thought you would be at the dance practice so I came to ask where you were!" "Whoops! Sorry! I totally forgot! Let me put on some different clothes and then I'll come!" "good!" Jungkook said, he was happy that convincing Yoongi to come was a lot, like a lot, easier then usual.
