Chapter 45

Chapter 45: Baby Yoonie

Yoongi was sitting in his studio, working on music. He had missed his studio while he was on tour. Tours are fun but being at home was even better in Yoongi's opinion. He was so concentrated on trying to make the perfect song for his next mixtape (after all, Namjoon had just dropped one so it was his turn again) that he didn't even realise that he had started sucking on his thumb. This was something that happened rarely, but sometimes Yoongi would slowly slip into little space without noticing it because he was so focussed on something else. That he started sucking on his thumb was the first indication of him slowly slipping into little space, but he didn't realise. The song he was working on was actually very special. He was making a song for Namjoon, or remaking the song he had made for Namjoon to make it sound so much better. But that was also probably the reason why he was slowly slipping into little space, he was constantly thinking about his boyfriend and Appa. 

Namjoon was also sitting in his studio. He wasn't being super productive but that didn't matter. He had just realised his mixtape and he kept thinking about how big of a succes it was. He was so proud of himself and absolutely allowed himself to be. He had managed to enter the billboard top 200 at number 26, just thinking about it made him so happy. There was something, or rather someone else, he kept thinking about, that made him happy too. He kept thinking about Yoongi and about how they finally have time again to spend with just the two of them. They didn't actually spend time with just  the two of them since they got home because they first both visited their parents and right now they were both in seperate studios. Namjoon didn't even realise he had walked over to the door of his studio until he opened it but decided to go with his unconcious plan anyway, let's visit hyung in his studio. 

Yoonie had slipped fully into little space over the past 30 minutes but he still didn't realise. He was still 'working' on his music, aka clicking on random things, while sucking his thumb. But when the doorbell rang everything changed. Yoonie's concentration was finally broken and he instantly slipped into baby space. He fell from his chair and started crying loudly, but nobody could hear him. Namjoon on the other side of the door was just confused why Yoongi didn't open the door. Yoongi usually did open his door because there could be something important. Namjoon tried to ring the doorbell again but still nobody answered. Namjoon took out his phone and decided to call his hyung. Yoonie heard the phone go over but that only made him cry more, he was too little to know what was making the scary noise. Namjoon was now getting worried, Yoongi not opening his door is rare, but Yoongi never before did not pick up his phone. Namjoon looked at the door, sighed, and called Jin. "Jin-hyung?" Namjoon said as soon as heard that Jin had picked up the phone. "Yoongi-hyung is in his studio right?" "Yes, why?" Jin answered confused. "I'm in front of his studio right now and he's not answering the door nor picking up the phone!" Namjoon said with slight panic in his voice. "I'll look up the emergancy code right now!" Jin said immediatly. He also knew that this was not normal behaviour for his oldest dongsaeng. "Okay, the emergency code is 3-5-2-8-7" Jin said trough the phone after he found the code. "3-5-2-8-7" Namjoon repeated while punching in the numbers on the numpad. Namjoon opened the door and immediatly heard cries coming from inside the studio. Jin didn't even need an explantion for who was crying, everyone knew how crying little Yoonie sounded. "I'll go get the car and pick you both up in 10." Jin only said before hanging up. Namjoon hadn't even heard it, he was already running over to his baby. "Ssssh, sssh, It's okay, Appa got you. You're save now." Namjoon said softly while hugging the little closly and rocking him a little. Yoongi slowly began to cry softer and softer until he was only sobbing. He had taken an hold of Namjoons shirt and definitely looked like he was not planning on letting go any time soon. "Come my little prince." Namjoon said while picking up the sobbing little and walking towards the door of the studio. "Let's get you home." As on cue Jin drove the car infront of the bighit building. When Namjoon was seated in the backseat, Yoongi was no longer sobbing. Instead he was cuddled up on his Appa and slowly falling asleep. "What happened?" Jin asked while starting the car. "I don't know, I found him crying very badly, I think he's in babyspace." "I hope he's alright." "Yeah, me too." 

When they arrived at the dorm Yoongi was sound asleep in Namjoon's lap. "Jin-hyung, why did you leave so suddenly?" Jungkook asked while walking into the hallway. "Yoongi slipped in his studio, we don't know when or how but he's in baby space and he was crying very badly when I found him." Namjoon answered. "Oh, I get it." Jungkook said while looking at Yoonie. "Do you mabye know why he slipped in his studio?" Jin asked Jungkook. "You know better why he would slip into little space then we do." "I don't know, hyung knows he's not allowed to slip alone and it's been a while since he actually did slip alone I think." "Mhm." Namjoon said, "Anyway, I should probably put him in bed, I don't know how long he'd been crying for but it tired him out." Jin and Jungkook nodded and both made way for Namjoon to pass. 

When Yoongi woke up from his nap he was still in baby space and because he was alone again he started to cry again. Luckily for him Namjoon was prepared this time and came in within seconds to calm the little down. "hey Yoonie, did you have a nice nap?" Namjoon asked. Yoonie didn't reply but did stop crying at the sound of his caregiver. "Let's get you changed and downstairs, Kookie is also in little space right now so he probably wants to play with you." Yoonie didn't look like he had understood any of that but neither of them cared. When Namjoon, Yoonie and Namnam walked into the living room everyone looked up. "When did he slip?" Hoseok asked confused. He and Taehyung had been shopping all day long so they hadn't heard about what happened. "I don't know to be honest." Namjoon answered while putting the little on the ground. "I found him crying in his studio." Yoonie started to crawl around and Kookie followed him so they could play together while Namjoon sat down on the cough. "I'll have to ask him once he can actually talk again, he's in baby space right now." "yes I see" Taehyung answered. "I don't mind though, playing with baby Yoonie is fun!" He said while flashing his boxy smile at the crawling little. Yoonie happily crawled over to Taehyung and started to play with his fingers. "You know, maybe he just slipped by accident and didn't notice it." Jimin said while looking at Yoonie. "He usually knows when he slips into babyspace and he would never do that without at least calling you." "Yeah, I thought about that as well but I didn't know that was possible." Namjoon said. "It is, it happened to Kookie maybe twice, it's super rare." "I think that's what happened then, that would also explain why he was on the ground and without any little stuff around him. I'll ask him when he's out of little space, so probably tomorrow." "Yeah you should, beter be sure then sorry." Jimin said with a smile. "Thanks for the tip Jimin-ah." Namjoon said to Jimin before looking back at his adorable little.
