Chapter 17

Chapter 17: The secret behind Namnam

It had been a few days since Yoonie had called everyone Appa, and even longer ago since Taehyung had brought up the question about Namnam. All though it had been so long, Namjoon just couldn't get the question out of head, nor the feeling that Yoonie had called him Appa. It wasn't a secret that Yoonie perfered Namjoon over any of the other caregivers. The other 3 that had been in the call even already told Namjoon that they thought that Yoonie was talking to Namjoon, they just couldn't be sure. "Joonie, wook!" Yoonie said to the thinking caregiver. "I made drawing!" Yoonie was holding up a drawing for Namjoon to see. Namjoon was pretty sure that the drawing was supposed to be 7 people holding hands together, but then again, Yoonie wasn't really a drawer, so it could be anything really. "Wook Joonie! This you! And this Jimjim,  this Kookie, this Jinnie, this Seokie, this Taetae!" "Oh, and who is that holding my hand?" Namjoon asked with a smile. "That Yoonie!" Yoonie said proud. "What a beautiful drawing little one! Do you want me to put it on the fridge?" "No! nawt good enough!" Yoonie said, putting the drawing in the drawer with all the other drawings that 'weren't good enough'. Namjoon hadn't expect the little to say yes, Yoonie still had a lot of insecurity problems that originally came from Yoongi. They were trying to work on it but they had to work on it with both Yoongi and Yoonie, which made it very hard to actually book progress. "It's a beautiful drawing Yoonie, really!" Namjoon tried but Yoonie was shaking his head already. Even around Namjoon, little Yoonie wouldn't talk alot so instead of an explanation why it wasn't good enough, Yoonie just went to work on a new drawing.  

Kookie was running around the house trying to not get caught by any of his caregivers. Jimin and Jin had decided to ground Kookie for a week (meaning that evertime Kookie would slip, he would only be allowed to be in his room) for the pranks he had pulled but Kookie didn't really feel like listening today. Running around the house trying to not get caught was way more fun! "JEON JUNGKOOK" Jin buldered, "If you don't go back to your room right now, we'll add another day!" Kookie stopped in his tracks and looked around. "But Jinnie! This is way mowe fun!" Kookie said, ready to start running again, sadly enough Kookie hadn't payed enough attention and Hoseok grabbed him from behind. "SEOKIEEE" Kookie said while pouting at the man who caught him. "You meanie!" "Kookie, I wouldn't have caught you if this wasn't a punishment for all the pranks you pulled, now hup, back to your room!" Kookie started to pout even more. Being grounded was no fun and he still had 4 days to go! Hoseok carried Kookie to his room and Jimin went in as well, even if the little was grounded, he still wasn't allowed to be alone. "Kookie" Jimin scolded, "Don't do that again, this is your punishment after all." "But Dada, I'm bowed! Can I colow?" "If you are a good boy and you stay in your room, I'll get you your drawing supplies, okay?" "Okay Dada!" Kookie said, smiling again. 

As soon as Jimin left the room someone in the living room started to scream their lungs out. Jungkook immediatly left the room as well, big again, because he thought one of his hyungs got murdered or something like that. "Hyung, what's happening?!" He asked as soon as he saw Jimin. "I don't know" Jimin said, frozen in the hall way. Jimin and Jungkook walked to the living room togehter to find all the other members coming from different places and Yoonie sitting in the middle of the living room crying like there is no tomorrow. Namjoon was sitting next to the little trying to comfort him. "Namjoon-hyung, what is happening?!" Taehyung said, clearly woken up from a nap. "Namnam is broken." Namjoon said, "And no, I didn't do it!" he added when he saw everyone looking at him suspicious. Jungkook walked towards Yoonie and Namjoon and saw what had broken the plushie. Yoonie had done it himself by accident by because the leg that got ripped of was stuck on the couch. "Ssh, little one, we can stitch his leg back on!" Jin said while also hugging Yoonie, but it didn't calm Yoonie down at all. Namnam was very special to Yoonie, even if he had never told anyone why. "NAMNAMMMMMMMM" Yoonie screamed while crying. Namjoon went to try a different way and picked the little up, holding him on his hip. "Ssssh, ssssh, sssh" Namjoon said while walking around. Yoonie had instantly burried his face in Namjoons neck as soon as he was picked up, meaning the cries got muffled a little. "A-a-appa want Nam-n-nam" The little cried to Namjoon. "Need N-n-namnam!" "Ssssh, it's okay, ssssh, we'll bring Namnam to the operation table and make sure he'll be fine again, okay?" Namjoon said, seemingly not faced at all by the fact that he just got called appa. "Namnam speciaw" Yoonie said while sobbing. Jin in the mean time picked up Namnam's body and Namnam's arm. "Does anyone have a needle and thread?" He asked the other members who where still standing around. "I got some!" Taehyung said, surprising everyone. "what? They came with one of the craft boxes I bought!" Taehyung went to this room to get the needle and thread. The thread wasn't the perfect color but it had to do, Namnam had to be fixed as soon as possible. 

Yoonie had fallen asleep in Namjoon's arms, the crying and screaming had exhausted the little. Namjoon was still holding the little because he knew that he couldn't put him down right now, he would wake up immediatly and ask for Namnam. "Hyung, how long is it going to take for you to fix the plushie?" He asked Jin. "Not too long, I hope. I'm curious why he's making such a big fuss over it anyway." "Maybe someone gave it to him or something like that?" Hoseok said. "I think it has something to do with Namjoon" Taehyung said, "I told Namjoon before, but Namnam sounds like Namjoon." Namjoon was staring at the plushie while thinking alot. Something that Hoseok had said had triggered something in Namjoon's brain but he wasn't sure what. 'Maybe someone gave it to him' 'It has to do something with Namjoon' Somebody gave Yoongi a plushie... Somebody gave Yoongi that plushie... Oohh.... "FUCK" Namjoon said out loud. "What did you say Namjoon?" Jin scolded in surprise. Namjoon didn't usually swear, non of the members did to be honest. "I got it, I know why the plushie is called Namnam, why Yoonie sees me as Appa and why he cares so much about that plushie." Everyone looked at Namjoon with very surprised eyes. Yoongi had woken up from his nap in Namjoon's arms when he had heard Namjoon curse. Yoongi wasn't little anymore but he decided to just act like he was sleeping for a little while longer, he wanted to hear if Namjoon had really figured it out, it wasn't that hard to figure out after all. "Hobi, did you ever have the feeling that you saw that plushie before?" "eeeh..." Hoseok looked back at the plushie in Jin's hands. "Maybe? I'm not sure to be honest." "7 years ago, just after you joined bts, I gave Yoongi that exact plushie... I don't remember why, must have been a stupid reason. For Yoongi it must have been his first plushie, and because it felt for him like I cared, I became an appa figure." "You're right." Yoongi said, scaring everyone and making Namjoon almost drop him. "NAMJOON-AH, don't drop me!!" Yoongi said and Namjoon put Yoongi on the ground. "How long have you been big for?!" "ever since you decided to yell a curse in my ear." Yoongi said back while glaring at the younger. "But yeah, you're right. Namnam is my first plushie, and you gave it to me. My little self immediatly saw you as main caregiver even if you weren't my real caregiver yet. That's why he named the plushie Namnam, so he had his main caregiver always with him." "Why didn't you tell us?" Jin asked surprised. "It wasn't relevant?" "Why did Yoonie only now call Namjoon appa and not before?" "I don't know, ask him, not me, anyway, I'm gonna grab a change of clothes and go to the studio. Please make sure Namnam is made again before I slip." And with that Yoongi walked away from the other members who were still looking at him with big eyes. "Namjoon-hyung... how are you still alive!?" Jungkook asked the older. "What you mean?" Namjoon asked surprised. "You were holding and almost dropping Yoongi while he was in big space... he would have murdered me for sure!" Jimin exclaimed.
