~Emi's P.O.V~

I watched as Gaara became to much for Sasuke to handle, and Gaara knocked him unconscious. I looked down. In the end, fire didn't help. I saw Gaara disappear soon after that, and desided to find him to talk. I found him on the roof of the arena, just sitting there.

He must've heard me because he said, "I'm sorry about what happened with the Uchiha." I sit beside him, and reply with, "Its okay. It was mandatory." he gave me a soft, warm look. His eyes were full of love.

I realized that Gaara only looked at ME this way. He didn't even look at Temari and Kankuro with love, or affection. He looked at them like they were just in the way. Was it just because we are half of each other?

Was it just because I'm the other half of Shukaku? We were raised together for the most part yet, we were completely different. He was raised without love, and I was raised with it. I wrap my arms around Gaara in an embrace. He stiffened a moment, but slowly put his arms around me.

"What now?" I ask. "What are you going to do?" "I don't know." Gaara says. "What about you?" "same." I say. "right now, I'm just going to finish the exams, and become a Chunin. That's my goal." he nods. "I hope you do become one." he says. "Yeah." I say. "Me too.."

We sit there for a few more moments until Sakura comes up. I turn my head towards her and narrow my eyes. "Are you...." she asked, "CHEATING on SASUKE!? Ohhh! He ain't gonna be to happy when I tell him! And then he'll be all mine because you cheated and he will leave you because of it! Eeeeeeek! Oh happy happy day for meeeee!" "Shut up Forehead!" I snap. "Gaara's my BROTHER. And Sasuke knows this. I would never cheat. He knows that." "LIER!" Sakura yells. "LIER LIER LIER!" Just then, Ino comes up. "She's not lying, Sakura." she says. "Gaara really is her brother, and Sasuke really does know." "hmph!" Sakura says. "I'm not buying It!" Suddenly, Gaara attacks Sakura with his sand. She cries out in pain as the sand surrounds her, stabbing and sliceing her skin. "Gaara." I say. "Enough. Don't kill her. She's not worth it." He ignores me, saying "How. Dare. You accuse my sister of lying!" "Gaara stop." I say. "Right now. She's not worth it!" he stops, and Sakura falls to the ground bleeding out from the many wounds inflicted. "Get her to the hospital, Ino." I say. I then run off into the woods.
