Getting Acclimated

~Riku's P.O.V.~

Entering the village, I walk up to the guard tower nearby and show the two men stationed there my travel papers. They wave me off and I proceed further in.

As I walk, I notice villagers stop and watch me as I pass. On reflex, I frown and am about to growl in anger; thinking this place to be just like my previous home but before I do, I take a closer look at their faces and stop myself. I see... more curiosity and open excitement to see a new face than I'm used to. Honestly, it takes me aback for a second. Well this is new I think. Closing my eyes and sighing, I allow a small smile to break out on my face I could get used to this The smile evolves into a happy smirk and I continue on.

I soon reach my destination and look up in awe at the famous building known as the Hokage Tower. I was certainly an impressive sight to behold, that much was for sure. Entering, I climb the stairs until I reach my desired floor and hallway, following it until I reach a large oak door.

Gathering my courage, I reach out and knock, soon being greeted by a gruff "Come in"

Opening the door, I'm greeted by a room heavy in smoke and an elderly man behind an oak desk smoking a pipe.

Stepping forward, I bow to him; going down on one knee then straighten up and approach him, handing him a scroll. He quickly skims it then nods.

"Well Riku, welcome to the Leaf Village. The paperwork has already been completed and you can begin your shinobi duties as soon as we find you a mission. Now, your new guardian isn't available right now; he's currently training his students at the moment. Until then, you are free to roam the village and familiarize yourself with your new home. I hope you find it to your liking here"

I bow again and thank him the leave to explore the village.
