~Emi's P.O.V~
It was a few more days when Lady Tsunade finally returned, this time wearing the Hokage cloak and hat.
"I apologize for the wait," she said taking off the hat. "There was a lot of red tape to go through before I could formally be named the Hokage. The whole ordeal took a few days but I wanted you to be my first act as Hokage."
She then pulled up a chair.
"Emi.." she began. "I finally got a chance to review your X-ray in greater depth and have reached a conclusion about your chances."
I held my breath in anticipation, feeling suddenly nervous about what she had to say.
"Now, I'll admit, your chances aren't exactly as stellar as I hoped they would be but there is always a margin of danger when we do these kind of things so keep that in mind. The truth is, you have a 66% chance of the surgery working and you regaining the ability to walk. The amount of bone fragments in your legs mean there is a small chance that there is nerve damage in your legs that we can't see, not to mention the stability of the bones remain in question." she explained. "That being said, I'm personally hopeful about your case. You are a young woman with a bright and promising future ahead of you, it would be a shame to see that cut short so tragically. And so, I choose to be hopeful and I advise you do too."
She then got up.
"I'll give you some time to discuss the results with your friends and loved ones." she said and excused herself.
A one in three chance of never walking... I think to myself
