~Emi's P.O.V~
I look out of Sasuke's window in thought. I hope that the battle between me and Gaara won't get me killed...the full moon is one month away...we will both be irritable when that happens....we might even lose control of ourselves..
I decide to go to the forest because it'll help me clear my head. I decide to take Sasuke with me mostly because I haven't been just me and him in a while. As we walk through the forest, I hear a piercing howl. My head snaps up.
"What was that?" I ask.
"A wolf." Sasuke replies.
"It sounds hurt."
"Lets go see." I reply walking away.
"Be careful, Emi." he says after me. I don't respond and instead continue walking towards the howl, which pierced the air once again.
When I find the wolf, I knelt next to it. Blood its seeping through it's fur. My eyes widen. "You poor thing.." I soothe as I start running my hands through it's fur, Biting my lip. "We need the Inuzukas!" I say. I hear a small whine. I look over to my left where the wolf was. A small cub was behind it, nudging at what appeared to be its mother. The wolf was bearing its teeth at me, growling. My gentle smile dropped into a frown. "What monster would do this to you..." I whispered, barely making a noise as Sasuke caught up to me, my eyes flickered back to him.
The stone cold expression was evident on his face, but there was a hint of sadness for the wolf.
"Sasu can you please get Kiba, or one of the other Inuzuka's now?!" I questioned him urgently. His grave face remained, and he didn't make a move.
"It will take to long. Adding to the matter, it's almost the middle of the night, they shouldn't still be awake. We should try to treat the wound. Leave it, or take it home with us." The wolf bared its fangs at the last option, while the cub started crawling its way over to me. "Finally, we could save the mother from her misery and take the cub with us."
I just stared for a minute, before picking up the cub. I walked my way over to Sasuke, I placed a peck on his cheek. "I think..." My voice wavered as I talked. "We should put the mother out of her misery, since we'd probably only make the wound worse. We'll take the cub with us." Sasuke nodded, bringing out a kunai. My eyes watered as I saw the wolf mother give up the fight and close her eyes. I turned away, making sure the cub was facing the other way. A whimper was cut short, and Sasuke walked back over to me. The same expression on his face as before. A looming silence in the conversation as we walked back to Sasuke's house.
Once we got in the door. I knew he was going to say something, I placed the wolf pup down and cut him off with a kiss.
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine, we both did what we had to do."
"But I'm the one who forced it upon you."
Sasuke shook his head. "No, it was the most humane thing to do." Sasuke spoke, stroking my hair, before speaking again "I just feel sorry for the cub who's with random strangers."
"What should we call him?"
"How do you know it's a he?"
"Don't question me. I know all."
Sasuke looked into my deep cerulean eyes, his onyx ones staring straight into my soul. "How about, we call him..." He was about to speak again before I interjected.
"Clay. His fur is like clay, and the name means mortal. Since he was reminded he was that right in front of his eyes."
Sasuke leaned in once again, his soft lips brushing against mine.
"Your the one who told me to kill the mother."
I pushed Sasuke away, as a smirk made its way to his lips. "Clay? Clay! Come here boy?" I jided, I instantly saw something and face palmed. Mud was tracked all over the carpets, in small paw prints.
