1. 9/11 the card shows a terrorist nuke destroying two buildings that look just like the twin towers.

2. the bp oil spill the bp oil spill was an industrial disaster in the gulf of mexico that is considered to be the largest marine oil spil in the history of the petrolem industry. the card labelled 'oil spill' destroys a coastal area, and the gulf of mexico is a coastal area.

3. black lives matter the card is called 'black activists' which is similar to black lives matter. remember this is the 1970s and the protesting in the civil rights movement had mostly died down, so they had no way of knowing these protests would continue.

4. obama one of the cards is called 'backlash' and it shows a black president being heckled. this is similar to the backlash president obama recieved for being the president and being black.
