A Little Different ~ Bughead

Chapter 2

Betty POV

I walked up to the door of Pop's and Jughead held the door open for me.

"Thanks"

"Your welcome milady ." He said winking at me I blushed and then I heard someone shout "Jughead!" Jughead turned around and then started walking I stayed still not sure on what to do then Jug turned round and looked at me.

"Come on Juliet don't be shy." He said smirking at me I hurried over to him and walked behind him once we got near a booth I saw the red head boy who was playing basketball before with Jughead and he was sat next to a ravine haired girl. Jughead walked closer and slid into the opposite side of the booth and I sat next to Jughead.

"Hi. I'm Veronica Lodge nice to meet you." The ravin haired girl said smiling

"Elizabeth Cooper. But everyone calls me Betty." I said smiling back at her

"I'm Archie Andrews." The red haired boy said

"So you new here Betty?"

"Yeah I just moved here from LA."

"Ohh. I love LA you know when I was...." I tried off when Jughead put his arm along the back of the booth and for some reason I felt a shiver go down my spine then I zoned back to Veronica "So how did you meet Jughead?"

"Were next door neighbors. And my dad was wrestling with his dad in they yard and someone called Fred."

"That would be my dad. I live across from you." Archie said laughing

Then a waiter came over and asked us what we wanted.

"I'll have fries and a strawberry milkshake please."

"I'll have a strawberry milkshake and a cheeseburger please."

"Uuhhh. Come back to me." I said not sure what was good here.

"I'll have a chocolate milkshake with a cheeseburger and fries and for Betty uuhh." He said studying my face. "A vanilla milkshake and fries." He said smiling I smiled back that's exactly what I would have ordered. The waitress nodded and walked away then my phone started buzzing I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at it and saw that my sister was calling me.

"I got to take this." I said standing up and walking out of Pop's and answering the phone.

After talking to Polly for a couple minutes (she was just looking for a phone charger) I turned around to walk back into Pop's and walked into someone I looked up and saw Jughead.

"Sorry." I said looking down

"Hey it ok." He said and I looked up and smiled at him

"What you doing our here?"

"I came to tell you your foods here and I need a smoke." He said dragging out the and he reached in his pocket and pulled out a packet of cigarettes he took one out and put it in between his teeth then he put the packet back in his breast pocket of his flannel shirt then he pulled a mat black zippo and lit his cigarette he put the zippo back in his pocketing took a puff of his cigarette and looked at me.

"What?" He said smiling as he held his cigarette in between his fingers

"Nothing." I said chuckling

"You want one?"

"No I'm good." I said smiling he took a couple more puffs then he dropped it and stood on it then we walked back into Pop's Jughead got in the booth first then I got in. Me,Jughead,Archie and Veronica ate food, drank milkshake and talked and joked about. I looked at the time and it said 6:14 I should probably start going.

"I'm going to start heading home. How much do I ow for the food?" I said starting up

"No it's fine Ronnie owns this place so we get to eat for free. So don't worry."

"Oh uh ok." I said smiling

"Here's my number text me and I'll see you at school tomorrow." She said handing me a pice of paper.

"Ok."

"I'm going to go to. I'll walk you home Betty."

"Ok." I said shyly he got up and I we said bye and we started to walk home we walked in comfortable silence till Jughead spoke.

"They like you." I looked up at him a little confused till he said "Veronica and Archie. They like you." He said smiling

"I like them to they seem nice. I like you to you seem like I could be friends with you." I said smiling

"Well that's good. You seem like I could be friends with you to."

Then we were stood outside my house at the end of the path.

"Well I'll see you at school."

"Ye sure. I'll see you at school." I started to walk up the path I walked about 2 steps till Jughead spoke again.

"Hey uh Betty." I turned around and looked at him.

"Yeah?"

"Umm how are you getting to school tomorrow?"

"I'll probably get my mom to drop me off. My sisters getting a ride with my cousins so."

"I uh. I usually drive Ronnie, Archie and our friend Kevin to school in my Jeep. There's an extra seat if you want to ride with us?"

"Yeah that would be great. Uh I have to go in so give me your phone." I said and he pulled his phone out of his pocket and handed it to me. I put my number in and handed it back to him.

"Text me what time I'm supposed to leave. I'll see you later Jug."

"See you later Betts."
He said smiling and I walked up my path and walked in.

I went upstairs and went into my room I put my phone on a box and I took of my top and walked into the bathroom and got my pyjama top I put it on and then walked back into my room were my shorts were then as I was about to take my jeans off my phone went off. I walked over to it and saw a text from and unknown number.

Unknown: You might want to close your curtains before you get changed.

I looked up and saw Jughead sat in his room on his bed looking at me I blushed and added his number to my contacts then replied.

Betts🌸: Thanks. I'll keep that in mind also you might want to close your blinds when your doing shirtless pull-ups on your door.😂

Jug🍔: Thanks I think we should just both keep our blinds closed. And is Betty Cooper saying she doesn't like my muscles?😂

I looked up and shrugged my shoulders.

Betts🌸: Maybe.😂

Then I looked back up and Jughead stood up and took his flannel shirt off then he took his tshirt of and he started flexing and I started laughing.

Betts🌸: Ok you can stop that know. 😂

Then he sat back down on his bed.

Jug🍔: Quick question. Do you like iced coffee?

Betts🌸: Yeah. Why?

Jug🍔: Because in the morning I usually pick Archie and Veronica up then go and get iced coffee from this coffee place near Kevin's then we pick up Kevin and go to school.

Betts🌸: That sounds good I'm ok with that. What time do I need to be ready by?

Jug🍔: School starts at 8:40 so I'll pick you up at 8:00. Is that ok?

Betts🌸: Ye that's fine I'm going to finish getting ready for bed and probably watch Netflix. I'll see you tomorrow Jug.

Jug🍔: Ok. I'll see you tomorrow Betts.

Then I put my phone down and closed my blinds. I finished getting ready for bed and I sat in my improvised bed and pulled out my laptop and started to watch Netflix.
