A Little Different ~ Bughead

Chapter 13

Betty POV

It's been a week since me and Jughead broke up well since he broke up with me. I've tried talking to him but he just ignores me and Archie, Veronica and Kevin because I don't want to put them in an awkward position that they have to choose sides and I don't want them to think I was the one who took the picture of Jughead and because I'm not in it but it wasn't me I know who it would have been but I've tried to tell Jughead but he won't listen. I've been walking to school on my own and going a little earlier then when Jughead usually picks everyone up. It's Sunday and I've decided to move back to LA I've spoke to my parent and told them the situation and there ok with me moving back to LA. Lee's family have offered to let me stay at there house till schools over and I'm 18 so that's we're I'm going to be staying and I'm going back to my old school. I'm moving today and my moms going to drive.

I'm moving today. So I packed up my room and into box's I've only leaves her for a few months so there was only a few box's. I was missing a box that came from the house I can't find. I walked over to Polly's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" She shouted and I walked in and she was sat on her bed on her phone.

"Hey have you seen a box full of my old drawing books?"

"Yeah there over there." She said pointing to the corner I walked over and picked up the box.

"So your really moving back to LA."

"Yep. I just.....I can't see him everyday Polly. I want to go over and talk to him but he doesn't want to talk to me and I can't talk to anyone else because I don't want to put them in a awkward position. It hurts seeing him every day and not being able to go talk to him and hug him and.....It's for the best Polly and there nothing more you can do now." I said and I wiped my tears and picked the box back up and then walking out of her room and back into mine ready to take the box's back.

Jughead POV

I was sat down in a booth at pops with Veronica and Kevin and we were talking when Polly walked in and kind of ran over to us.

"Where's the fire Polly?" Kevin said and then she sat next to him facing me.

"You need to talk to Betty. She's moving back to LA."

"What?" Veronica said confused. I'm confused as well I mean I'm mad but I don't want her to move. We live in Utah (That's were Riverdale is in this story I needed it in driving distance) and L.A. is 9 and a half hours away.

"She's moving back to LA because she hates seeing Jughead and not being able to talk to him or any of you guys because she doesn't want to put you guys in an awkward positions. She walks to school early so you guys won't see her walk to school on her own. You need to talk to her and stop her from moving because once she moves and she's staying in L.A. till she's finished school and she's 18. Once she leaves that's it she's never going to come back and she won't listen to me or my parents so you guys have to talk to her. Please." Polly pleaded.

"Polly she told everyone about Jughead. I mean we love her she's amazing and funny but she told people." Kevin said

"She didn't ok. I did. I took the picture and sent it to Cheryl. I came home early earlier and I went Betty's room and Jughead was laying on her bed and she was in the bathroom and I was shocked and I took the picture then I put my phone away and then Betty came out of the bathroom and saw me and she pushed me out of her room and she told me not to tell anyone and she practically begged me not to tell anyone. I told her I wouldn't but I ended up panicking and telling Cheryl and sending her the picture and....I'm sorry Jughead I I really am." Polly said and I can't believe I blamed Betty I knew she'd never do that to me. I stood up immediately and grabbed my denim jacket and walked out of Pop's and got in my jeep and drove to my house and pulled into the driveway and got out the car. I ran to Betty's front door and knocked rapidly then Mrs Cooper answered the door.

"Ah Jughead. She's upstairs." She said stepping aside.

"Thank you." I said running up the stairs and to Betty's door and I just ran straight in and she was just walking out of the bathroom.

"Jug?" She said and I walked over to her and put my hands on cheeks and brought my lips to hers. She was a little taken back and she grabbed onto my jacket to stop her from falling. I pulled away and looked at her.

"I'm sorry Betty I'm so sorry I didn't believe you or let you talk to me. Polly told me everything. Please don't go to LA. I'm sorry I was an idiot and I blamed you. So please don't go."

"Jug I have to go."

"Please don't. Betty I....I love you and I've felt this way for a while this weeks been miserable without you."

"Jug. I love you too." She said smiling and I leaned in and kissed her again and placed my hand on her cheek. I pulled away and kept my hand on her cheek and caressed her cheek with my thumb.

"Don't move 9 hours away from me."

"Juggie I have to."

"No you don't you can stay here with me. Please stay." I said looking at the tears in her eyes.

"Jug I have to go I just. I just need a break from Riverdale for a little while."

"How long are you you going for?"

"I was planning on staying there till I'm 18 and I've finished school. But I'm thinking maybe only till next month and come back for Christmas."

"Ok. If if your going can.......can we at least try long distance? Un until you come back."

"Absolutely." She said smiling I smiled back at her and kissed her again then I pull her into my embrace and we stood there for a minute just gently hugging.

"When do you leave?"

"In about 2 hours or so."

"Do you want to watch a film before you go?"

"Yeah." She said softly we pulled away and we lay down on her bed and Betty lay curled up against me with her arms wrapped around me and my head on my chest why I wrapped my hands around her.
