A Little Different ~ Bughead

Chapter 21

Betty POV

I was about 11:30 am and I was sat in the living room with my family watching a movie when there was a knock on the door.

"I got it." Polly said getting up and she went to answer the door. "Uh Betty." She said and I looked over and she had a very concerned face.

"What's up?"

"It's for you." She said and I stood up and walked over to the door and she stepped away from the door and I saw Jughead stood there with a tear running down his face and his eyes where red.

"Juggie? What happened?" I said standing in front of him.

"M...my m..." he said stuttering and I pulled him into the house and I shut the door then I pulled him into a tight hug as he buried his head into the crook of my neck and he started to cry.

"Ssshhh. It's ok Juggie." I said rubbing his back. Then he pulled away and looked around and saw Chic, Polly my dad and mom looking at him.

"Sssorry for just sshowing up I'll ggo." He said stuttering and he turned around and went to walk away but I grabbed his hand and pulled him back.

"It's ok Juggie. Come on. Guys we're going to go upstairs." I said intertwining my fingers with his and we walked upstairs.

"Ok honey." My mom said and I walked upstairs with Jughead and I lay down on my bed and pulled Jughead down with me and I pressed my forehead onto his and he let out a shaky breath we sat there for a while till his breath normalised.

"What happened?" I whispered

"My mom cheated on my dad last week and he found out that's why they where arguing and my mom's took JB and Julian and she's moved to Toledo." He said brokenly and I saw tears start to form in his eyes.

"Oh Jug." I said and I pulled him into hug.

"She left me Betts she left me behind. Ddo you think it's because I'm broken and I'm not perfect?" He said looking up at me. I placed my hand on his cheek and caressed it and I wiped a tear from his cheek.

"It's her loss Juggie. So what if your not perfect no one is but I love you Jug all of you." I said and I placed my hand on his right leg. "Your amazing Jug and don't let anyone tell you or treat you different. I love you Jug. I really do you know that right?" I said and he nodded.

"Yeah I love you to Betts." He said and I sat up and laid his head on my lap. "Can you play with my hair?" He whispered.

"Yeah but I'll have to take your beanie off. Is that ok?"

"Yeah it's fine. Your the only one who I'll let take it off. When you play with my hair it calms me down. It's soothing." He said softly.

"Ok." I said and I ran my hands threw his hair and I started to twiddle with it. A few minutes later I looked down and saw Jughead had fallen asleep. I chuckled softly and I stopped then Jughead groaned and moved in my lap and he turned and looked up at me.

"You stopped." He said frowning.

"I thought you where asleep." I said chuckling.

"I was going to sleep but then you stopped."

"Do you want me to seen if you can spend the night?"

"You don't have to if you don't want me too."

"Of course I do. I'll go ask my mom." I said and I went downstairs.

"Hey mom?"

"Yes Betty?"

"Can Jughead stay the night?"

"Betty I don't know I don't really approve of a boy sleeping in your room."

"Pleases mom. He's upset please." I pleaded.

"You have to leave the door open."

"Mom where not going to do anything. But fine." I said and I walked upstairs and then sat down next to Jughead. "She said yes."

"Ok. I need to go home and get some clothes. Then I might have a shower."

"I thought you had one before?"

"I know they help me relax though."

"Why don't you go for a shower then and I'll go get your clothes?"

"You don't have to I need boxers and......"

"Jug."

"Yeah."

"Your forgetting I've seen you naked." I said and he blushed a little.

"I know." He said smiling and looking down a bit. "I've seen you naked to." He said smirking.

"Don't let my mom hear you say that she's never let you sleep here again." I whispered and I kissed him softly. "I'm going to go get your clothes. Is there anything particular you want me to get?"

"Uh just a pair of my basketball shorts and a tshirt."

"Ok. Towels are in the cupboard in the bathroom. I'll be back in a sec." I said and he gave me a peck on the lips and I stood up and went downstairs and went to Jugheads house his dad wasn't in so I just went up to Jugheads rooms and grabbed him some shorts and two tshirts one to sleep in and one for the morning and some clean boxers. I put them in a duffle bag that was on the floor and I then I went back to my house.

I went upstairs and walked into my room and locked the door behind me. I heard the shower running and I knocked on the door and Jughead didn't say anything so I just walked in. When I walked in I saw him threw the shower screen door and he was facing the wall and he had his head hung down and the shower water was hitting the back off his neck why he was leaning on his left leg. I walked a little closer and saw he had his eyes closed.

"Juggie?" I said softly but he just kept his eyes tightly closed. I tapped on the glass and he just squeezed his eyes closed tighter and he started to breath heavily. "Jug? Are you ok." I said and he nodded a tiny bit but I knew he wasn't. I took all my clothes of and kept my hair in a ponytail and I climbed into the shower behind him. I put my arms under his and wrapped then over so my hands where on his shoulders and I pressed my head onto his back and he lifted his head and leg out a shaky breath. I kissed his back softly and then he turned his head and looked at me.

"You ok Jug."

"Yeah." He said smiling. Then there was a knock on my bedroom door.

"Shit. You finish in here. I'll wait in my room." I said and I kissed him softly then I jumped out the shower and then quietly got changed into my pyjama shorts and tshirt then I answered the door and my mom was stood there.

"Elizabeth I said keep the door open."

"Sorry I was changing and kind of didn't want everyone to see."

"Where was Jughead?"

"The shower like he's been since I left to get his clothes and I told him to stay in there till I was done changing."

Just as my mom was about to say something else Jughead walked out with his basketball shorts and tshirt then he walked over and stood next to me.

"Oh Hey Mrs Cooper. Thanks for letting me stay." He said smiling. Then my mom looked down at his leg and she then looked back up at him and smiled.

"No problem Jughead. There left over food if either of you are hungry." She said smiling.

"Thanks mom." I said and she nodded and walked downstairs. Then I walked back over to my bed and lay down and Jughead lay next to me.

"You want to watch a movie or something?" He asked

"Sure." I said and I turned on Netflix and I curled up into his side and he chose a movie.
