note: the archangels closest to each other here are just products of my imagination. most of the characters' plot here is my imagination, so don't go around saying that 'Azrael isn't like this or Michael doesn't do that or who's Uriel? Where's Raguel?' i repeat, the characters are based from the archangels, but it doesn't mean that I'll be totally basing their plot on the Scriptures or whatnot. Happy reading!
the devil cries ■ chapter two
Kassandra, calm down.
I'm trying to calm myself down for ten minutes now, but I just can't. Azrael came into my room and told me the moment that I woke up and finished getting ready for the day that I'll be meeting the rest of the other archangels he was close with.
If that wasn't nerve wracking, I don't know what is. They're archangels, for goodness' sake! And what am I? A mere mortal who happened to stumble upon this realm with an unknown reason how or why.
Then, the door sounded with a knock, causing me to squeak out my answer.
"Come in," I said, and then looked down.
I was wearing a white dress that blended in with the other angels here, and my hair was in a braided crown.
Then, I heard a chuckle. I looked up to know that it was Azrael, looking at me.
"Now you look just like an angel. Except you don't have wings," he said, and then I raised a brow at him.
"I'm not an angel. And you don't even have wings, too," I countered and then he laughed.
"I'm an archangel. We have more opportunities and powers and something along that line than normal angels. And we, Kassandra, only release our wings the moment that we need it the most. At least, that's what our deal was, with each other," Azrael said, and then I nodded.
Reasonable enough. Anyway, I decided to step out of the door with him behind me, still chuckling.
I'm nervous. I haven't even explored Divine Realm yet and I don't know when I should be informal or formal or how I should act in front of others. More so, where the heck I should go.
"Just stick with us. You don't have to worry about a thing," Azrael said, and I just nodded my head nervously.
I decided to look now in front of me, and was shocked when I saw double doors already.
"What, you don't think I can teleport us?" Said Azrael, and then I just rolled my eyes.
"I don't know. Maybe?" I said, and then he laughed. "Fine. I'm just nervous. Lead the way, Mr. Archangel."
"I don't like that nickname," he said, looking away from me yet he still opened the doors.
A bright blinding light welcomed my eyes and the next thing I knew, the light was gone and i was blessed with the sight of majestic supposed to be archangels.
The room was mixed with white and gold, and was like just any other luxurious entertainment room in the mortal world.
"Azrael, what is this room?" I whispered to the archangel beside me, and then he chuckled before answering me.
"Well, You could say that this is our leisure room. Just like those entertainment rooms mortals have." Azrael said, and I nodded my head.
My eyes wandered around the room, and I saw a large television attached to the wall. Then, there was a console down on the floor, where two archangels are playing a game at. I looked at the screen and saw that the scene was of the clouds and they were having a combat battle.
