Our footsteps sounded against the crunching leaves, but I was used to it. This place is oh so familiar to me, since I've been here for days or I don't even remember how long. This forbidden forest, that seemed not so forbidden anymore.
As we were laughing with each other, we both halted after seeing a familiar figure walking away from the stone.
Long black hair cascading down her back, a leather jacket and pair of jeans that defined her body, and biker boots. It was Lilith, and this time, I didn't have bad feelings about her.
If my best friend fell for her, then surely there was something good about her.
As I was about to walk, Azrael stopped me, shaking his head slightly but I just gave him a smile.
"Az. Kassandra," Lilith greeted, and I smiled at her. She was just smiling blankly, but when her attention reached Azrael, she smiled a little bit more.
I think, maybe they should talk it out. Now that they can have time alone. I don't think they'll have any more time alone together, and they should clear things out.
"Guys, just gonna get in. Talk. Or I'll kill you, Az," I said, and Azrael grimaced.
Lilith then turned her head towards me, this time giving me a more meaningful smile than a while ago. She then nodded as a thanks, and I smiled at her then nodded.
When I looked at Az, it looked like he didn't know what to do so I left it all to Lilith. She could dominate him, for fuck's sake.
I then pressed my hand on the stone, and then the same thing happened, me falling to the dungeon and appearing in front of the invisible wall.
I then jogged towards Lucifer who now crouched and looked disheartened. When I cleared my throat, I saw him look up, but his face was full of shock.
I then grinned and then sat down next to him, pushing down the nervousness and something else that I felt. I then brushed his hair back, smiling at him.
"You look ugly with that frown, Lu. Smile," I said, and he rolled his eyes and then furrowed his brows.
"Says the person who left me here to rot," he said, and I chuckled.
"Bitch, I was gone for a day and you already miss me?" I joked, and he sarcastically laughed making me chuckle.
"Is it obvious?" He asked, and I nodded.
"I was only kidding. Anyway, Azrael and Lilith are talking over there. I can hear their conversation from here. Do you like them for each other?" I said, and he widened his eyes.
"Lilith? And Azrael? Why the fuck is Azrael here? Is he gonna hunt us the fuck down? Fuck, what did you do?" He said, his eyes holding slight anger but I just smiled gently at him and held his hand.
"Relax, idiot. He's not gonna drop the bomb to Michael and the rest. He actually told me about him and Lilith before. I just like them with each other because despite the contrast between themselves, they truly like each other. Wish I could find someone like that," I said, and Lucifer scoffed.
"You just have to know something else," he muttered, and I raised my brows. "Nothing,"
I then smiled at him, and he sighed. He flicked my forehead causing me to groan, and I just listened in to what Azrael and Lilith are talking about.
He may not realize it, but I could see that Lucifer also was listening in to their conversation.
"Az?" Lilith called.
"Um, yeah?" He asked.
"I... I kinda miss you," she said, and I heard Azrael chuckle.
