Lucifer and I kept talking, and then he explained to me some things about the Realm. I was really amused by the things he told me, so I listened to his stories even more.
"There was this one time that Azrael and I were tasked to go to the mortal world. Instead of going to the Philippines, we were teleported to China. I was really surprised." He said, and I chuckled.
His hands were playing with the feathers around us, chuckling as he tickled me with some of them.
I then took some too, and then tickled him as well. He laughed, and then grabbed my wrist to pull me closer causing me to widen my eyes at the sudden action.
He then smirked at me and then pulled me closer, causing me to furrow my brows at him but he was continuing.
"You idiot, what are you doing?" I asked him, and he chuckled.
"I never thought you're actually this pretty," he muttered, so I laughed at his face.
"You're such a flirty bastard." I said, and then tried to get away from him but he wouldn't budge.
"How come you never fall for my charms?" He asked, and I chuckled.
"Because you don't have any," I said, and then he chuckled then let go of me.
We then both laughed, then played with the feathers. He then started telling another story so I listened in.
I watched him as he told me his stories, and he looked like he was enjoying himself. Maybe he wanted to go back to the way he was before. Maybe he wanted to go back to who he was before.
I felt sorry for him. I could feel that he already regretted everything he did in the past but this curse can last forever. It was fate, and eveb if I saved him, I feel like something else might happen soon, too.
"You know, there is something I wanted to explain to you ever since you came here," he said, and I tilted my head in confusion. What did he want to tell me?
"What is it? If that's one of your tricks again, I'm gonna shove my foot up your ass," I said, and he raised his hands in surrender.
"Nope. I just wanted to say that I feel something different with your presence. You're not an angel, are you?" He asked, and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know. All I know is that I woke up one day and I appeared here in the Divine Realm. I don't even know," I said, and he smiled at me which surprised me.
"You're not even a demon, because I will know it if you are," he said, and I shrugged.
"I know I'm a jerk, but Lu, I'm not a demon," I said, making the both of us chuckle.
He then scooted closer to me and then looked up at the ceiling. I looked up as well because I was curious what he was looking at, finding nothing but cobwebs.
"Nephilims. I've always been fascinated by their existence because they're extra strong. And sometimes, I envy them. Because they can be human yet an angel as well. But they're considered fallen angels. But still, angels. Even if the dark side thinks of me as the greatest of them all, I can't help but feel as if I wasn't. Because I really wasn't. I was just this archangel who used to be him who was the greatest of them all's favourite. I was that archangel whom he cast down from Divine Realm's thrones to this forbidden forest," he explained, and I sighed.
If I was in his situation, I probably wouldn't last here for even a year. I will get really really bored and probably let my death swallow me. Unless death wasn't existing when I am here. Which actually makes it all worse.
"That's awful. The Seven, were you close to them before? Aside from Azrael?" I asked, and he nodded his head.
"They were my friends, too. Until all these things happened. They all hate me now, so don't ever mention me when you're with them. Or they'll start hating you, too," he said, making me furrow my brows.
"But you're better now, right?" I asked him, and he smiled softly at me.
"I regret everything. All I want is freedom. All I want is to be able to live normally too, just like every other divine creature in this place," he said, making me sigh.
"I'm sorry," I said, and he furrowed his brows as he spared me a glance.
"For?" He asked, and I shook my head.
"So what do you do when I'm not with you?" I asked, and he chuckled.
"Nothing. Just stare at the ceiling to cure my boredom, and sometimes I would try to make my wings grow but I just can't. No nephilim has visited me," he said, making me slowly nod my head at what he was saying.
"I thought they were your servants...?" I asked, remembering what he told me before.
"No, nephilims can take any decision they want to. Usually they live in the mortal world to keep themselves hidden because they are being hunted here in the Realm. Basically, other angels treat nephilims as demons so they can't live properly and peacefully here," sabi niya, and I shook my head.
"It's not their fault that they were born nephilims, right? So why do creatures blame them for simply existing?" I asked, and he chuckled.
"that's how it always is around this side, Kassandra. I suggest you just let it be, as well." He explained, and I nodded.
I was about to speak up when there came yet another call from the other side. It was a voice of a woman, so I furrowed my brows. It's always been Samyaza who visited him when I came here. Who was this woman? Did he perhaps have a girlfriend?
Fudge, silly Kassandra. He can't even get out of this side of the wall, so it is impossible that he could get a girlfriend. I should have thought of that earlier.
"Highness?" She asked, and I listened in. Her voice was familiar but I didn't know who it was or where it came from.
"Oh, you. Why do you call me Highness all of a sudden? Didn't you leave the side to go solo a thousand years ago?" Lucifer asked, bitterly chuckling so I tilted my head to the side.
"Highness. I just came here to tell you that I think I know what is wrong with that curse of yours," said the woman, and she chuckled. "I think it has something to do with how a girl appeared out of nowhere, how a girl appeared in Divine Realm without knowing who or what she was."
I widened my eyes. Was that me, or is someone else having the same situation as I?
I looked at Lucifer and saw him heavily sigh then close his eyes. He then cracked his knuckles, then sighed as he opened his eyes. He looked really cool doing that, but of course I wouldn't admit that in front of him.
"I know, Lilith. Just, go back. Go back to your own side. I think I have lost my deal with you," he said, and I widened my eyes. Lilith? That Lilith who came to Hiram and Harris after Az and I did?
"But it involves the girl sitting beside you right now," Lilith said, and Lucifer sighed.
"I'm not a fool as you like to think I am, Lilith. Just leave us alone," he said, and I heard a chuckle from the other side.
"Okay. Just remember that you should be careful around her. Because she's the epitome of destruction, even though she looks like an innocent cherub," Lilith said, and I heard flapping wings so I assumed that he went away already.
When the sounds of wings flapping disappeared, I turned my head back to Lucifer, but he had his face leaning on the palms of his hands. He looked as if he was having a problem, so I took his hands away from his face. He looked at my eyes so I stared back into his, and before I knew it...
his lips touched mine.
And it felt heavenly.
"Don't ever leave me,"
