Swooshing wind, clouds, and amused screams.

Both Azrael and I were screaming in enjoyment as we leapt down to the mortal world, hitting the clouds which was really fascinating. Azrael held my hand so that I won't get lost to another part, he said, but I didn't have any problem with it, anyway.

"Where are we going?" I asked, and he smirked.

We hit the ground, and he stood firmly. Me, however, well... Let's just say that I stumbled a little. I looked around and saw that we are in the middle of a busy street. I looked at my appearance at a shop window, surprised that I looked flawless just like back there in Divine Realm. But why?

I was about to ask Azrael what his task was, when I saw a huge bus coming our way. I screamed, nudging Azrael, but he just laughed. My heart was beating fast, since it was only a second before we got hit.

God, I love everyone, I am good to everyone, I am not bad, please don't take me yet!

I closed my eyes shut, and felt a swooshing wind. The next thing I realized, Azrael was laughing beside me so I hit his arm.

"Don't laugh at me, you asshole!" I said, and then looked around in case someone saw us. He chuckled, and then ruffled my hair causing me to furrow my brows at him.

"People can't see us, you know? Unless they are souls. Or nephilims. Or azazels. And also, don't worry about your hair. You still look beautiful as usual," he said, smiling at me.

I smiled back at him and looked around the area. It was probably in New York, because there were many shops and the streets were really busy. There were also cabs around, and stressed out people finding their way back and forth the streets.

He then gestured for me to start walking so I did, with a smile across my face. I was getting really curious about what his mission was, or who we were gonna take to the Realm.

We passed a mom with a toddler, so I grinned and stuck my tongue out at the baby, causing me to laugh when the kid didn't see me. I laughed when I pulled on a teenager's ear and he felt it.

Azrael smirked beside me, and placed his hand on my shoulder which surprised me. I felt my cheeks redden, for some reason so I cleared my throat but he never noticed so I just let him.

We then stopped in front of a big house, probably has a third floor, and an attic. The house looked old, and I looked at Azrael. He had a sad smile on, and looked up.

"God, I know I love being the Archangel of Death because I love how cool that sounds, too, but this case?" He muttered, and I furrowed my brows.

"What case?" I asked, and he smiled at me shook his head slowly.

"You'll see. Let's go," he said, and then snapped his fingers.

His clothes then turned into an all black suit, and he took out a few cards from his suit pocket. He actually looked really cool.

He started walking towards the door, and I followed right behind him. He then passed by the door and I wasn't surprised now that I can pass by it as well.

When we finally got in, I gaped, and I could feed tears well up my eyes. I covered my mouth, trying to stop my years from falling.

This is awful.

"Kass. We better hurry. Before the other side takes them," Azrael said, with slightly furrowed brows, so I nodded and followed behind him.

There were bloodstains on the carpet, and stains on the wall as well. Fingerprints marked with blood were also visible, as well as splatters.
