Tracing her fingers down the books' spines, Kassandra admired the old books displayed in the public library she took Lucifer to. Lucifer, if he had to voice out an opinion, didn't really like books but seeing that his beloved was enjoying being in the presence of books, he couldn't help but break a smile.

She looked so precious in his eyes.

"You know, I really enjoy reading books. Do you like reading, too?" Asked Kassandra, making Lucifer blink his eyes since he wasn't paying attention to what she was saying but in admiring her beauty.

"Um, sorry, what?" Asked Lucifer, chuckling. Kassandra giggled, and then shook her head.

"I asked if you liked reading, too," Kassandra said, and Lucifer smiled at her sheepishly.

"Yes," he lied, internally facepalming.

"Oh, really? Who's your favourite author?" She asked, suddenly so interested in talking to him.

"Okay, um, hahaha, I lied. I don't actually like reading. I just wanted to impress you or something," said Lucifer, making them both laugh.

"It's never too late to start, you know?" Said Kassandra, as she pulled out a book from a shelf.

"I... guess? Wait, let me just find a book that maybe, just maybe, interest me. Wait for me, okay?" Said Lucifer, trying to not make Kassandra feel bad on dragging him along with her.

She gave him a smile, and then nodded. Her eyes lit up, as she saw the cover of the book.

Wonders of the Hidden Worlds. 1617.

Intrigued by the title, she immediately flipped the pages. The pages were browning, but they were still slightly smooth. There were some stains, and she wondered how the pages managed to stay like that despite the centuries passing.

As she was reading, Lucifer was on the other shelves, looking for something that might catch his attention. He silently cursed, not knowing what to do.

"Damn, what the hell are you doing, Lucifer?" Asked someone behind him, making him immediately turn his head towards the voice. She found a girk with silky black hair and pale skin, smirking at him as if she found him funny and silly.

"Hell, Lilith. Why the hell are you here? Where's Az?" Said Lucifer, making Lilith chuckle.

"What, a girl can't love books and mischief at the same time? You and your little mind, really," said Lilith, as she chuckled after and pulled out a book behind him.

He blinked rapidly, and followed his gaze at the book Lilith took. He furrowed his brows, as Lilith threw the book at him.

Suddenly, Azrael appeared out of nowhere, making Lucifer raise a brow at him. Azrael smirked, and then placed an arm around Lilith.

He sighed, thinking how lucky Azrael was with Lilith. After all, they both deserve it. After centuries, thousands of years not being able to be together, Azrael finally managed to get the girl he was loyal to, the girl he loved more than he could ever love himself. His Lilith. Lucifer can only wish he could get Kassandra back without any disturbances this time.

The couple went away, making Lucifer look down at the book Lilith gave him.

How You Get The Girl.

He smiled, shaking his head.

Widening his eyes as he remembered Kassandra, who was probably waiting for him, he started walking towards the direction she was in. His heart started beating faster as his tattoo started burning. What was wrong?

He widened his eyes at the sight in front of him. What was that?

There Kassandra was, hands trembling as she red a book with a velvet cover. The pages looked ancient, making him blink rapidly.

Suddenly, Kassandra raised her head to look at Lucifer. When he started approaching her, she started back up as her eyes get teary.

"Love, what's wrong? Why are you being like that?" He asked, his eyes softening at the sight of an anxious Kassandra.

"I... Why does this book make me feel things?" She asked, and as Lucifer was about to answer, she continued, "Why does this book accurately have your names? Including my mom and your dad? And even Lilith and Samyaza! Why-"

Lucifer widened his eyes, and then tried to take the book away from her.

"It might be a coincidence, you know? That's an old book, our names are probably based from that-"

"But why does it feel like it's connecting with my heart? Why-"

"Shh, love. Don't cry. You're probably just overwhelmed," he said, and then engulfed her in a hug. She started sobbing, and then dropped the book on the floor.

He silently cursed, as a page fell. He closed his eyes at his frustration with the book, and then let go of her.

"You can go out now, we'll have some coffee and doughnuts. Wait for me outside, I'll bring this back," he said, making Kassandra nod.

He sighed in relief at how easy he managed to let her get away from the scene. As he watched her go away, his attention went back to the book.

A page fell, and he sighed in relief as she didn't get to see it.

Kassandra of the Nyx Clan.

Oh, hell.

He picked the book up, and then his eyes filled with rage as he saw the authors of the book.

Nyx Clan.
