A busy day of press conferences and negotiations had left Markus feeling exhausted. He'd talked personally to President Warren about laws for androids and how the humans and androids can live in peace together. Things had gone well and now laws were finally being put in place for human and android equality.

Markus arrived home to his quaint little house in the suburbs of Detroit. Despite being the android leader, he didn't really want a life of living it large and luxuries, even though he could've had so many things. He was a modest man, just living free was enough of a luxury for him.

Another luxury he had was his beautiful boyfriend Simon. After things didn't work out between Markus and North, Simon was there to comfort him and the two fell deeply in love. Simon moved in with Markus and the two lived happily, they never argued, never fought, never disagreed. They were a perfect pair that worked harmoniously with each other.

Markus got into the house and hung his long coat up in the foyer, a tired look on his face. His eyebrows then furrowed when he heard small meows coming from the living room. He walked over to the doorway and peered in, surprised by the sight.

Simon was sat on the couch with at least ten small kittens around him, all either cuddled up on his lap or close to him, or they were mewling up at him while he pet them. Markus smiled at the adorable sight and quickly saved a snapshot of the moment into his deeper memory files.

"Simon?" he said and entered the room, Simon looked up at him and smiled widely at the sight of his lover.

"Hello, Dear. How was the meeting?" Simon asked as if he didn't have several kittens in his lap. Markus sat next to him on the couch, careful not to disturb the small balls of fluff.

"It was good. Things are finally being done to put laws in place. We should hopefully see some progress in the next few days," he said with a pleased smile. He looked down at the kittens, "So do you wanna tell me where all these adorable creatures came from?" Simon giggled softly as he rubbed behind one of the kitten's ears.

"I went out earlier to visit Josh while you were at the meeting and I found them in a box at the side of the road. They'd been abandoned and it was lucky I found them when I did. I brought them back home and I've made sure they were warm and comfortable. They haven't left me alone since," he said softly, looking down at the kittens with a fond smile. Markus smiled as well, Simon's smiles were contagious.

"Do you plan on keeping them?" Markus asked and Simon nodded but then hesitated.

"Only if you want to," he said before giving Markus huge adorable puppy eyes. Markus chuckled and pecked Simon's lips.

"Of course I want to. Have you given them names yet?" he asked and Simon nodded excitedly.

"Yep!-" he pointed to each kitten as he named them off, "-there's Pearl, Indigo, Cinder, Buttercup, Latte, Nugget, Couscous, Kiwi, Furby and Mouse." He was very proud of those names. Markus smiled at the adorable name choices.

"They're perfect."
