-[ I am intrigued by this ship tbh. It was one of the requests and I was confused as to why it existed at first, then I saw some fan art of it and I was like "Hmmmmmm... ya know what? With some development this could actually be a decent ship". So fuck it, here's a fic :) ]-

Connor let out a simulated sigh as he watched as the suspect was shoved into the back of a SWAT truck, going to be taken for interrogation. Connor had played his role as the 'negotiator' once again, preventing the man from setting off a bomb that was planted inside of a restaurant downtown. He'd managed to gain the man's trust and persuaded him to hand the detonator over, that's when the SWAT team had infiltrated the building and apprehended the man on Captain Allen's orders.

Speaking of the Captain, he walked over and stood next to the android and watched as well as the man was taken away in the truck. Once the truck was out of sight, Connor turned his head to look at Allen.

"I'm glad we managed to prevent the detonation of the bomb. Thank you for trusting in my negotiation abilities again," Connor said in his usual friendly voice. Allen gave him a sideways glance, not really fond of androids but there was always something about Connor that made everyone like him, but some were a bit harder to crack, like Captain Allen for instance.

"Yea well, after your performance with that PL600 android, I trusted that you were more than capable of handling this situation, which you were," Allen said in response. Connor raised his eyebrow and a light smile formed on his face.

"I never thought you'd say something nice about me, an android, which you hate," Connor said with a light giggle. Captain Allen crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

"Shut the fuck up, bot," he grumbled, a huff leaving his lips. Connor just kept smiling and Allen eventually wandered off, probably to share some information with the other SWAT members.

Most of the SWAT had left after a while, Captain Allen had stayed behind to clean up a bit since he was the Captain after all. He then felt a drop of water hit his face. Then another, and then a few more. He glanced up at the sky and noticed the dark rain clouds overhead. He didn't even know it was going to rain today, if he had then he would've brought an umbrella, but he hadn't. He huffed and mumbled a few profanities under his breath, then he couldn't feel the rain anymore, but he could see it was still pouring down. He glanced up and saw an umbrella over his head and turning to look to the side he saw Connor stood next to him, holding the umbrella up.

"The rain wasn't forecast for today, but I always come prepared," Connor said and gave Captain Allen a smile, which of course wasn't returned but Allen wasn't glaring or giving him the strange look he usually did. Instead he looked a little confused, and almost a bit grateful.

Connor and Allen began to walk, heading in the direction of Captain Allen's car. There was a fairly comfortable silence between them, now words exchanged, only the occasional glance but never at the same time. They made it to Allen's car and he turned to look at Connor once again, this time making eye contact.

"Uh.. thanks for walking me to my car. I honestly hate getting soaked by the rain," he mumbled, making Connor practically beam at the thanks he got.

"You're welcome, Captain. Have a safe journey home," Connor said with a warm smile, always so friendly. Allen simply nodded and got into his car, looking at Connor once more before starting his car and driving off, beginning his journey, thinking about the weird android detective all the way home.
