[Also mega smut warning]

"Your place is a mess," Hank grumbled, pushing aside a pile of dirty clothes with his foot. Gavin rolled his eyes and decided to ignore the comment, going over to the kitchen to grab a coffee.

"...You didn't have to follow me home, you know. I'm fine by myself," Gavin huffed, already knowing that Hank was stood in the doorway to the kitchen without even having to look.

"Reed, you were badly injured. Fowler told me to keep an eye on you so that's what I intend to do, okay?" Hank argued, crossing his arms. Gavin finished making his coffee and turned around, frowning towards Hank.

"What I meant was, you didn't have to come home with me like some creepy old pervert," Gavin hissed, moving to the living room. Hank spluttered at that, looking rather embarrassed by the comment.

"I'm not an old pervert! Well, yea I'm old, but I'm not a perv. I just... wanted to make sure you're okay," Hank mumbled, making Gavin raise an eyebrow.

"...Sure. I'll take your word for it," Gavin grunted and turned on the TV, flopping down onto the couch. Gavin sipped from his coffee and glanced back over towards Hank, noticing how he was still stood awkwardly to the side. Gavin let out a sigh, patting the space on the couch next to him to invite the lieutenant to sit down. Hank hesitantly did so, sitting next to Gavin. An awkward silence filled the air between them, making the both of them uncomfortable.

"Hey, do you ever wonder if you'll like, be in a relationship ever again?" Gavin asked out of nowhere. Hank furrowed his brows, looking slightly bewildered.

"Uh, sometimes? Why?" Hank asked in return. Gavin just shrugged, not taking his eyes away from the TV.

"I dunno. I guess I've just kinda given up," Gavin huffed, finally glancing over at Hank, who was still looking a little confused.

"Given up? Reed, you're thirty-six, you have plenty of time to find someone. Me on the other hand, I'm a fifty-three year old alcoholic that is probably gonna die within the next ten years, you have way more of a chance than me at finding a partner. Hell, go out to clubs or whatever the youth do nowadays, I'm sure you could pick up a nice girl there-"

"I'm gay," Gavin huffed when Hank mentioned girls. Hank just blinked, before responding after a moment.

"Ah, right, sorry. Well, pick up a nice guy then," Hank finished. Gavin rolled his eyes, standing up from the couch.

"I doubt that would work. I'm too old to go clubbing and people usually don't like dating cops since everything seems to be illegal nowadays," Gavin said, putting his bandaged hands in his hoodie pockets. An idea sprung to Gavin's head, not one that seemed very logical but he supposed that it was better than nothing.

"What if we fucked? Like, as a casual thing?" Gavin suggested. The taken aback look on Hank's face seemed to prompt an explanation, "Look, hear me out. We're both to old to go out and look for people, we both hate life too much to even wanna try, and I'm gonna assume that we're both rather sexually frustrated with a lack of sex for several years. It could be just between us, whatever happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom, you know? Our little secret." Hank thought about it for a moment, he supposed Gavin did makes some valid points.

"And no one would know?" Hank asked, just needing a little reassurance before making a definitive decision. Gavin nodded.

"Mhm. No one would know," Gavin repeated back to him. Hank sighed, deciding that yea, it was better than nothing.
