[Can't believe I have to put a warning here because I know what kind of backlash this ship causes, so just in case, this is a ROMANTIC HANK X CONNOR oneshot, if you don't like, don't read, and definitely don't comment with some negative opinion that I don't give a fuck about.]

[Anyways, enjoy.]

"Connor, if you knew that it was forecast to rain tonight why the fuck did you suggest we go on a date?" Hank grumbled, arms crossed over his chest with a small scowl on his face, glancing up from under the awning of the restaurant they'd been in to look at the dark, damp sky, rain bucketing down from it. Connor merely shrugged, not looking too bothered about the weather conditions.

"We're busy for the rest of the week, plus we have that wedding to go to next weekend, I didn't want to wait that long until we could go on another date," Connor explained factually. Hank rolled his eyes, letting out a huff of annoyance.

"Well whatever. Why didn't you at least bring an umbrella?" Hank was mainly wondering that since if Connor knew it was going to rain he'd at least have some common sense to bring an umbrella, but apparently that was not the case.

"I... don't know. We were in a rush so I guess I didn't really think about it," Connor mumbled, scratching the back of his head. "We'll just have to run back to the car." Hank frowned, not liking the sound of that but it was the only option. Before they moved, Hank passed Connor the car keys since Connor wasn't capable of in taking alcohol, Hank had drunk quite a bit of wine during the evening. The two then left the dry safety of the awning and quickly began to make their way in the direction of the car, moving as quickly as they could to avoid getting too wet, but that was kind of hard when it was absolutely pouring it down. Connor slowed up a bit, making Hank turn around to see what he was doing. He rolled his eyes as he saw Connor jumping in any puddles he came across, a bright smile on his face.

"How the fuck are you so cheerful about this weather? Couldn't this like, break your systems or something?" Hank asked and Connor shook his head, a small chuckle leaving his lips.

"I'm waterproof, Hank. Cyberlife made sure that Androids wouldn't be affected by water. Every single one of my biocomponents are waterproof as well, so even if the water somehow got inside of my systems it wouldn't do anything," Connor explained as he jumped into a slightly bigger puddle, splashing the water up the side of Hank's leg.

"Hey! Watch it!" Hank yelped as the freezing water went through the fabric of his pants and got onto his bare skin. Connor giggled and stuck his tongue out childishly, jumping again and splashing Hank more. Hank stepped back to avoid the water but it didn't really work as the liquid made contact again.

"Connor, I'm already fucking soaked as it is, can we just get back to the car?" Hank grumbled, pushing the wet strands of hair that were sticking to his face away. Connor shook his head, giggling again.

"Lighten up a little, Hank! A little bit of rain never killed anyone," Connor said and Hank rolled his eyes,

"Yea, tell that to victims of floods," Hank mumbled, still being stubborn. Connor let out a simulated huff and walked up to Hank, taking both of his hands in his own.

"Dance with me~" Connor purred with a smile, earning a confused look from Hank.

"But there's no music?" He queried, eyebrow raised. Connor giggled and placed a gently kiss to the tip of Hank's nose.

"We don't need music, silly," Connor spoke softly, and began to move his feet in a calculated way, moving slowly and Hank followed his lead. The two danced gracefully in the pouring rain, their movements careful but confident. Connor moved one of Hank's hand's to his waist and placed his own hand on Hank's shoulder. Hank rolled his eyes but the fond smile on his face made it clear he wasn't annoyed about any of this.

The two lost track of time, just enjoying being in each other's presence. After a while, Connor moved their positions again so that his head was resting on Hank's shoulder, their bodies pressed close as they swayed gently, not really dancing anymore, just standing close.

"I love you, like, a lot," Connor said softly, eyes closed as he relaxed against Hank, feeling content, "You're one of the main reasons I became a deviant, you know?" Hank looked at him in surprise.

"I was?" He questioned, unaware of that. Connor nodded, opening his eyes and looking up at Hank fondly.

"Mhm. In Jericho when I was confronting Markus, he asked me if I ever had doubts or done something irrational that wasn't a part of my program. When I thought about it, I realised I had, and I had been with you through most of them." Connor began to recall all the events that had taken place that made him realise he had been doubting himself all along.

"When you stopped me chasing Kara and Alice across the highway, I was confused as to why you stopped me but also grateful that you cared, even if you denied it."

"When we were chasing Rupert across the rooftops, there was an 84% chance of you being able to help yourself from falling off that ledge after Rupert pushed you, but even with that I didn't want to risk it, so I abandoned my mission to help you."

"When I came to your house for the first time and saw you unconscious through the back window, I could've just gone back around to the front and picked the lock, but I was so worried that something urgently bad had happened to you, I broke the back window and jumped through, rather clumsily may I add."

"At the Eden Club, I could've shot those two Traci's, but I didn't, I couldn't, and when you said that it was better that way, I felt like I had done the right thing."

"When you pulled that gun on me at the bridge, I felt fear. I was scared that you were going to shoot me, I didn't want that, but I couldn't show it, so I made up an excuse. If you'd shot me I'm fairly certain we wouldn't be as close as we are now."

"At the Stratford Tower, when I found that deviant in the break room, after I recovered my thirium pump regulator, I ran back in to the corridor to see it with a gun. I knew that you could be injured so I acted out of impulse and grabbed that FBI agent's gun, even though I knew android's aren't allowed to use guns. I just had to protect you."

"When Fowler dismissed us from the deviancy case, I knew that the answer was in the evidence. I asked you for help, for just a little more time, and you agreed. I felt so grateful, knowing that you could possibly lose your job for what you did."

Hank listened to everything Connor said, realising that he did indeed play a part in Connor's deviancy. Connor leaned up and gave a gentle kiss to his bearded cheek.

"I thought back on all those times, and it made me realise how much you mean to me. Especially in the Cyberlife tower. When that other Connor held the gun up to you I was so frightened that he would kill you, if you died I wouldn't be able to live without you..." Connor mumbled quietly, clinging a little bit tighter to Hank. Hank held Connor close and gently rubbed his back.

"Connor, I'm an alcoholic, I'm old, and I'm human. I'm going to die at some point anyway. Me dying shouldn't stop your life, you have a lot to live for, you should make something of it. Androids can last for hundreds of years, right? You could do so much within that time-" Hank was silenced by Connor's hand covering his mouth.

"Shut up... life wouldn't be worth living without you, Hank. You mean so much to me," Connor said softly, his chocolate brown eyes staring into Hank's baby blue ones. Hank moved Connor's hand away from his mouth and let out a sigh, knowing that Connor would be stubborn about it, so instead he leaned down and captured the android's lips in a kiss instead. Connor kissed back, arms wrapping around his neck. A few minutes later, the two broke away, looking at each other with love in their eyes.

That was soon cut short as Hank let out a sneeze. Connor laughed lightly and pulled back from their embrace, but decided to hold Hank's hand.

"We should probably get out of the rain now, you're gonna catch a cold," Connor said as he and Hank walked back in the direction of the car.

"I'm pretty sure I've already caught a damn cold. It's your fault," Hank mumbled, a slight pout on his lips. Connor just giggled and gave his hand a gentle squeeze, glancing at hank with a smile on his face that Hank just couldn't be annoyed at.
