Cold, dark winter evening and i'm on another bench, waiting for a person who can try to fix the empty space in my heart. I've been from bench to bench over the past week. Heartbroken, cold, lonely and afraid.
Another figure appears next to me, it's breath forms white smokey clouds to form ahead of it; looking in wonder caused the figure to realise and look my way. Instead of looking away in fear I continue to stare as the silhouette walks my way.
It's only when it stands in the light do I realise the blue, ocean, captivating eyes. The bright green hair that befalls the clearly now mans face. The small smile when I continue to stare into his eye's.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer". He said, a voice laced with a thick Irish accent. He had a skinny figure, yet only a thin cardigan wrapped around his frame. White lips, pale face, soft eyes and colourful hair. He looked like an angel. "U-uh i-i'm sorry, y-you're jus-t r-really c-c-ute". Red covered my cheeks as the man smiled a big smile from my compliment. "Look you are cold, I can tell- I know it's strange but I have a spare room if you'd like to stay with me for tonight; it's pretty late". His cute Irish accent coating his voice so strongly I could melt. He was the definition of perfect. "T-thank you so much, i-i'd- i'd love to". I replied looking into his crystal eyes and smiling, I knew I was blushing like crazy but It did make me at least a little warm in the winter snow. His house was warm and welcoming, We spend the whole night talking and sharing stories. He's a sweetheart and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to help me.
-Time skip: one year later-
"SEAN CAN YOU COME HERE A SECOND".
"YeahH ONE SEC"
His footsteps are heard coming down the stairs a confused face turned into a surprised happy expression. He looked like a 5 year old who's about to play in a bouncy castle. His smile took over his who face as he runs towards me.
"MARK!! OH MY GOD NO WAY!!"
He looks down at the six week old golden retriever and smiles, a tear falling down his cheek as he bends down to greet the puppy.
"What should we call her?" He say's whilst stroking the fluffy child we now owned.
"Um I was maybe thinking Chica?.."
"Chica sounds great! Yeah! Hello Chica- we're your dad's". He was now crying on the floor, Chica in his arms. I sit behind him as he leans on me.
"Mark?"
"Yes baby?"
"We're going to look after a puppy together, A real life thing. Mark it's like we're looking after a child".
"Yup, And we're going to be great parents to this dog and then hopefully in the future great parents to a baby."
We looked at each other smiling and share a kiss before spending the rest of the night with chica. This is where we start our life together.
