Hand's in your hair,
lips and teeth.
We were inseparable and oh so bittersweet.
The happiness fades and the darkness will rise,
we were together as one.
Until we were taken by lies.
Kidnapped, in-slaved, kept against will.
Why? Our hearts so joined but now just a soft, unsettling kill.
Shots fired,
Hearts exploded.
Overdosing pain and cutting out the shame.
Nothing to blame but ourselves.
I was hung up high on the shelves, left to rot and collect the dust, to disappear from the light and pretend that I had won this pathetic fight.
This fight that we once believed would be ours.
Nothing to hold us back.
We'd smile through the pain and fight back.
But what's a king without a queen?
What's a lie without a truth?
What's a heart without it's broken pieces?
What's a life where I can't eventually spend it with you?
