Melting heart

As soon as I could, I ran into the building. Somehow I hoped that Kristen was still inside waiting for me. There was something different about that girl, something mysterious, something magical. Already with one touch or one glance, she could melt my heart. It was weird, I had never felt this way before. Never had I felt so happy, so excited, and especially so in love. It was totally weird because I only knew her just two days. I hit the big yellow swinging door open that led to a large hall with lockers. To my surprise there were many people who weren't there before, the whole hallway was filled with people talking. I looked around searching for Kristen, but she was nowhere in sight. "How's your sticky neck doing?" I felt a hand on my shoulder and recognized the screaming voice of Niall. Now I felt a hand on my left shoulder and turned right around. "Good job boy. You already got kicked out the second day." Liam smiled and shaked his head as disapproval. To my surprise I saw that Laura was holding his hand and looked at me smiling. They looked so happy in pairs.

"Laura, did you see Kristen anywhere?" I had not even thought before I had already said it, the words flew from my mouth. I expected a demanding but also puzzled look. But instead she smiled friendly, as if everything was perfectly normal and ordinary. "Probably she sits outside on the picnic table. Where we sit every break." I saw that Louis and Zayn also joined in the group and were eating a big sandwich. Niall stood beside Zayn pleadingly ask for a little bite, because he was hungry as always. We all went out to find for a place in the sun. It's been great weather for outdoor breaks and lunch. Laura joined our table and made a gesture to Kristen that she had come join our group. "Kristen, come join us!" Kristen turned, waved quickly and looked right into my eyes. I again felt a tickle in my stomach. Kristen jumped from her table to ours and plopped down on the bench next to Laura.

Her long blonde hair blowing in the wind, the sun made her blue eyes glisten and there waved a little scent of flowers. She put her silver purse on the table and looked at us kindly. "Hey guys." One by one she looked at us, but her eyes stuck on mine. It was quiet, silent for a moment. It seemed as if my eyes were clung to hers, they were attracted like a magnet. I felt weird but still good inside. I knew it, I was in love. In love with the most beautiful and popular girl in school. The silence was broken by Laura who coughed. "Hey Kris, maybe they can come this afternoon too. Then we do a picnic with seven instead of with the two of us?" Laura  tapped on Kristen's shoulder who was still staring at me. "Kris?" Laura squeezed Kristen's arm to wake her from her thoughts. I didn't know what was going on in her head. Why did she gaze so long? Did she play a game with me? It made me confused, it let my thoughts run wild. "Lovebirds." Louis coughed and took a quick sip of his Coke. Niall began to laugh so he choked in his Coke and coughed it out. "Sorry, what did you say Lau?" Kristen was awakened by her thoughts and smiled at Laura as if nothing was happening. "That we can have the picnic with seven this afternoon?" I looked in amazement at what answer Kristen would give, somewhere I hoped for a big yes. Fortunately, Kristen nodded cheerfully to Laura who looked at her quizzically. "Good idea! I'm already excited." She smiled again with her light red lips and gave a wink to me, what made my heart melt again.
