Ross' POV
"He was a jerk. Why does it hurt so much?," Laura asked me, as we laid in my bed. Laura told me everything that went down with Andrew.

Even though I was happy she was single, for some reason, I felt angry at Andrew for what he did to her. How could he treat her like that?

How could anyone treat her like that?
"Because you loved him." It hurt for me to say that. She loved him.

Boy, did I envy Andrew right about then.
"But why?," She asked.
"I don't know, Laur. I really don't know."
"I know why he loved you, though," I spoke. She rolled her eyes.
"Assuming he did. Why?."
"What's not to love? You're smart, funny, hot, short, guys like short girls you know, ummm did I mention hot?" She rolled her eyes but laughed regardless.
"Thanks for being there for me, Ross. I have to get going. I'll see you tomorrow?," She asked, making her way out of my bedroom. I nodded.
"See you tomorrow."

The sun burned my skin from outside of my bedroom window as I sleepily rolled to the side to get out of the sun's harsh rays. I only then fully woke up when the pillow beneath my head was replaced with the cold hard ground that belonged to my bedroom floor.

Sighing, I stood up and got ready for the day. Once dressed I walked down the stairs and ate the breakfast my mom had prepared for me.

God I love my mom's cooking.
"So, any plans today?," My mom asked, wiping the counter. I shrugged.
"Not really. I'll probably just hang out with Laura." A huge smile broke out on my mom's face.
"What?," I asked, smiling myself.
"Nothing," She replied going over to the sink to wash the dishes. Before I could speak Riker came down the stairs.
"Mom, would you please tell Rocky I didn't move his stash of macaroni?," Riker pleaded.
"Don't lie to me! I know you hid it. You always had a problem with me and macaroni!," Rocky accused, coming to stand beside me. I couldn't help but laugh.

My siblings may be annoying but they sure are entertaining.
"Rocky, calm down it's just macaroni. Here I'll go to the store later on today to pick you up some more okay?," My mom asked. Rocky nodded, satisfied with my mom's answer.

Just then my phone pinged, signalling I had just received a text message. It read:

To Ross from Laura❤️
Hey. Wanna hang out?

A small smile formed on my lips.

From me to Laura❤️
I'll pick you up in 2 minutes.

I walked up the steps to her front porch and knocked on the familiar wooden door.
"Hey, Ross," she said, her smiling face greeting me at the door.
"Hey, Laur. You ready to go?," I asked, placing my hand in hers. She nodded.
"But where are we going?," She asked.
"You'll see."

The drive to the beach was anything but boring. Laura turned up the radio and we both sang to the songs horribly and terribly off key even though we're both amazing singers.

I parked the car and got out opening the door for Laura. She smiled and thanked me.

We walked toward the water and sat down on the sand.
"Why didn't you tell me we were going to the beach? I could've brought a swimsuit," Laura spoke. I shrugged.

She rolled her eyes at me then turned to look at the water.
"Isn't it beautiful?," She asked, her eyes still focused on the view in front of her. My eyes never leaving from where they rested on her, I spoke.
"It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
