It's been a week since Ross and I decided to be friends again. As his best friend, I know when he's not himself.
I watched him numbly strum his guitar, Luna, as he was writing new sheet music. I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder.
He turned around, looking exhausted.
"What's wrong?," I asked. He shrugged.
"I'm alone." I raised my eyebrows at him.
"I'm going to die alone," He said looking at his hands.
"Ross that's crazy. Why do you think that?," I asked, taking a seat next to him.
"My relationship with Courtney didn't work out and now I'll never get the chance to make up with Maia."
"Yes you will," I comforted.
"No I won't. She's already on her way back to Australia."
"What!," I shouted, standing up.
"It's on her instagram story."
"What the hell are you doing here. Go to her," I said, pushing him out of the studio doors.
"Laur, I can't just leave. We're filming soon."
"Calum, Raini and I will cover for you. No go," I said, opening his car door.
"You're the best, Laur," Ross said pulling me into a hug. Why can't I stay like this forever?
"I know. Now seriously go." I didn't leave until I couldn't see his car anymore.
Ross' POV
I pulled up at the airport and completely abandoned my car. I saw Maia. She was standing next to a guy. A familiar guy.
A brown haired guy. It was Garrett Clayton, our co star while we were filming Teen Beach Movie.
What is he doing here with Maia?
"Maia!," I screamed, running up to her.
"Ross? What are you doing here? My plane leaves in two minutes. I have to leave now."
"I'm going to miss you. Breaking up with you was a terrible mistake. Don't go," I pleaded.
"You can't do this to me. You can't tell me you love me one second then say you feel nothing for me. Ross, I gotta go."
"Maia, please. I know I hurt you but I only want to love you. If you'd just give me a chance," I begged, getting on my knees.
"Ross...please, you lost me. I deserve bet yes r than you. Goodbye." Tears fell from my eyes. Garrett pushed past me, walking up to Maia.He looked back at me, sympathy in his eyes.
"I'll take care of her, after all, I am her best friend," Garrett spoke.
"I love you, Maia," I spoke before her brown hair left my field of vision. I stayed there until I couldn't see her plane anymore.I got back in my car and called Laura as I drove home.
"Hey, Ross. How'd it go?"
"Not good. She's gone."
"I'm sorry, Ross," Laura comforted.
"Don't be. I don't deserve it. Maia deserves better than me."
"Ross don't be ridiculous. You're amazing. It's Maia's loss." I smiled.
"Do you think she'll ever forgive me?," I asked, checking my surroundings before making a right turn.
"Eventually," Laura reassured.
"Do you still think you're going to die alone?" I thought it over.
"No, because I know no matter what happens I'll always have you. Besides, I have to be patient. I can't force things," I decided, changing lanes.
"That's the spirit. You'll find the one for you."
"Thanks, Laur."
"No problem."
"Stay with me on the phone until I get home?," I asked.
"Sure."

I slowly opened my eyes as the knocking on my front door wouldn't stop. I glanced at the time.
"2:36AM" flashed in my eyes. I sighed and got out of my warm, comfortable bed and walked to the door.My best ginger-haired friend greeted me at the door.
"Can I come in?," He asked. I tiredly nodded, moving aside to let him in.
"Here," He said and handed me a tub of my favourite ice cream. He went to my fridge and grabbed four cans of Dr. Pepper then walked out the door.I shrugged and grabbed a spoon, digging it into the tub of cookie dough ice cream.
"Grab me a spoon and meet me on the roof!," Calum called. I did as he said and soon, we were both sitting on my roof, watching the night sky.
"Okay, start talking," Calum said, talking a sip of his drink.
"About what?," I asked, copying his actions.
"Maia." I rolled my eyes.
"I went to the airport hopping she'd take me back but instead she flew back to Australia."
"Do you think, the whole reason you wanted your with Maia to work is because your relationship with Courtney didn't work out?," Calum asked, taking a spoonful of my ice cream. I copied his actions before responding.
"I just don't want to be alone. I want to be that person who knows everything about someone," I spoke.
"Ross, if you force things and really really want something to happen, it won't."
"So you're telling me to give up?," I questioned, taking another sip of my drink.
"No. I'm just saying amazing things happen when you least expect them." I instantly thought of the kiss I shared with Laura. I definitely didn't expect that.Did Laura enjoy it as much as I did?
"You feel better?," Calum asked, after swallowing some ice cream.
"Yeah, thanks man," I said, pulling him into a "man hug."
"No problem. You're my best friend. We got to look out for each other."
"Don't telll Raini I called you my best friend. She'd kill me," Calum joked. I couldn't help but laugh.
"How do you do it? How do you make your relationship with Raini work?"
"Well, I guess when you know you've found your perfect person or soulmate you do everything you can to make it work. I think that's why your past relationships didn't work. No offence," Calum added.
"So you think I was never meant to be with Courtney or Maia?"
"Honestly? No. I think you can do better," Calum spoke.
"And who would you suggest?," I inquired.
"Laura." I rolled my eyes.
"Not you too," I groaned. Calum laughed.Does the whole world ship me with Laura?
"Laura's just a friend. My best friend. Nothing more."
"So, why did you kiss her?"
"You know about that?" Calum nodded.
"Laura told Raini and Raini told me."
"So why did you do it?," Calum asked again. I shrugged.
"I don't know, man. It just happened. I was lonely and Laura was rig hit there and she looked so beautiful," I rambled on.
"You think Laura's beautiful?," Calum asked. I nodded, not even needing to think about it.
"Seriously, Ross. No games. Are you in love with Laura?" I rolled my eyes in annoyance. I was going to respond but then I suddenly stopped myself.Am I in love with Laura?
"Laura'a my best friend. I don't want to lose her and no one can replace her. I care about her the most I've ever cared about anyone before. If I could give her the world I would. Does that sound like I'm in love with her?," I asked, annoyed that the answer was finally clear to me. Calum only smiled.
"Ross?"
"Yeah?," I responded.
"You're in love with Laura." I sighed, taking a deep breath in then letting it out.
"I know."
