Friday morning was an exciting buzz for Kai as he got himself ready for all his cousins to come over. Being the first to wake up, he sprinted to his room to brush his teeth and take a bath. After getting dressed, Maya met him at his bedroom door, wagging her tail excitedly as she followed Kai everywhere he went.

The lively six year old knew his mom and Quincy were quite tired, so he thought it would be best to let them rest while he prepared some more for his extended family's arrival later on this afternoon.

Up in the theatre room, Quincy was the first to stir awake, looking to his left to see that Kai and Maya had already left. He then looked down to the warm body snuggling close to his own, and for a quick minute, all he could think about was seeing the sight before him every morning.

Not wanting to startle her, he brought his lips down to the top of her cheek, a small hint of her dimple making an appearance in response as the corner of her lips turned up into a smile. When her eyes fluttered open, she looked up at the cause of her tingly feeling, smiling brightly at the pair of warm brown eyes looking back at her.

"You stayed," she exclaimed groggily, snuggling even more into his body.

Quincy laughed lowly as he snuggled her back, bringing his fingers in her slightly messy mane.

"I promised you I would," he replied. "Good morning by the way."

Dinah giggled as her hand gently rubbed his chest.

"Good morning to you too. I'm guessing my little bug is already up and about."

On cue, Kai was heard giggling uncontrollably from downstairs. Dinah and Quincy let out small laughs as Quincy helped Dinah out of her seat. Once they were both on their feet, they engulfed one another in a morning hug, one that was tightly held and very much needed for both of them to start their day.

Dinah looked up at Quincy, him looking down as he brought his nose to hers.

"When does your flight leave for Delaware?" she asked quietly.

"Not for another few hours," he replied. "So if you want, I can spend some more time with you and lil' man before your family gets here."

"I would really like that," Dinah replied dreamily.

She went to kiss him on the cheek before departing from his warm touch.

"We have plenty of guest rooms with their own bathroom, so if you want you can shower and what not before you have to leave. I'm gonna go get myself ready."

"Thanks D," he replied, walking behind her as they left the theatre room.

Before Dinah could get to her room, Quincy did a quick job of pulling her to his body, turning her around in the process so he could capture her lips. As surprised as she was at first, it didn't take Dinah long to reciprocate this kiss, tangling her fingers in his hair as he deepened their lip lock.

Air seemed to disappear from their airways as they departed, breathing heavily as they looked into one another's eyes. Quincy smirked as Dinah traced her thumb over his bottom lip.

"I couldn't go another moment without feelin' those soft lips," he whispered to her.

Dinah looked from his lips to his eyes, smiling mischievously as she drew his face close to hers.

"Do it again," she whispered back, mere seconds before they exchanged another steamy lip lock.

This one was shorter than the first, but didn't lack any amount of passion. They departed again, dopey smiles plastered on their faces as they held each other.
