Lost in darkness

Chapter 17

Kraven pov- He spent all weekend with her only leaving her side to get blood bags. He had gotten used to sleeping beside her. He left her place Tuesday right before the sun came up he headed to his place. He was worried about her he had noticed she seemed weak these past few days. All she wanted to do yesterday was sleep and he didn't want to leave her side but she wanted him to go and teach his class.  Once he got home he spent a few hours grading papers and after he was finished the last paper he sighed. She was out of it when he left he wasn't  sure if she would be in his class tonight. 

When he got back to her place she was still fast asleep. He lightly kissed her forehead which seemed warmer then normal. " Hang in there darling" he whispered in her ear and headed downstairs and  towards campus. He wasn't in the mood to really teach so he told the class to read a bunch of chapters and after forty minutes he told everyone them could leave. He couldn't get her off his mind and once he was alone in his classroom he rushed back to her.  He dropped his bag on the floor by the door and was by her side in with in seconds. He sat beside her and by the looks of it she hadn't moved since he left. 

He was starting to get worried and he shook her lightly " Darling" but nothing seemed to work. He got up pacing back and forth thinking though his opinions, he placed his hand on her chest to feel heart. It was beating but it was really slow, without thinking he bit into his wrist and placed it over her mouth allowing a few drops to land on her lips.  He was able to get a few drops in her mouth and he leaned back waiting to see what would happen.

Tess pov- She felt like someone was holding her head under water. "kraven" she whispered  unsure if it was loud enough to hear or she was  just saying it in her head.  She finally opened her eyes after a few minutes and sat up in shock. There was panic in her eyes as she flung herself  in his arms and hung onto him.

Kraven: "I'm here darling" he held  her in his arms

Tess: " What happen"

Kraven: "I almost lost you" 

She pulled away noticing a few blood spots on his shirt and she looked at him and she ran a finger on her lip and looked down to see red stained fingertips. Fear set in her eyes as she backed away from him.

Tess: " what did you do"

Kraven: " I saved your life that's what I did" he watched her 

Tess: "What does that mean"

kraven:"I didn't turn you if that what your worrying about" There was sadness in his voice

Tess: " I shouldn't have freaked out that way I did" 

 She reached for his hand but he pulled away 

Kraven: " You have a right to freak out, you should be afraid of me Darling" 

She knew what part of him she was talking to, the vampire called her darling and his voice always came off edgy and dark. She reached for his hand again but this time she didn't let him pull away.
